I had an epiphany yesterday. Instead of complaining about the tone of the CB, I decided to be the change and begin posting fluff threads. I had more fun yesterday than I've had on this board in a year. It was so nice to laugh with people instead of arguing.
I've been on the CB for quite a long time. I do have a habit of not starting my own threads but rather posting on the threads of others. I've now decided to try to post at least one fluff thread per day. If you're tired of all the negativity, I ask you to join me in making the CB more fun by posting your own fluff threads.
Oh, and please post rants (a la the shopping cart thread) and stories of dysfunctional family members and wackadoo friends because even though they include arguments, I find them extremely amusing.
There is just so much to be worried about in the real world today--I prefer not to read about it on a Disney message board. The political posters and the pot stirrers absolutely have the right to post what they want within the DIS guidelines. We also have the right to refuse to read or to be engaged in their threads.
Have fun! That's my new mantra. I hope it will be yours, too.

Ouch! Thanks for sharing, DISUNC!
