Making room requests

I keep reading about various room requests to make at the hotels. How and when do you make these requests - when you book? When you arrive? I've never made a request when staying on cash - is there a special way for DVC members to do this?

Requests may be made by calling Member Services and having it added to the reservation. Very specific requests, like specific room numbers, are not a good idea.

Make as generic as possible, like near elevators, near bus stop, golf view, etc.

DVC will note all requests but will not guarantee them. They will do the best they can at check-in to honor your request, so the advice to make the request as general as possible has good chance of being honored.
