If I wanted to make reservations for a vacation at the end Nov. 2010, I would have to call MS to make the reservation at the end of Jan. 2010? Can you make a reservation sooner than the 11 month mark or it has to be right on the 11 month mark?

For the end of November, you could make a reservation at your home resort at the end of December, 11 months from your check-in date. So if you want to check-in on November 20, 2010, you would call on December 20, 2009 and book up to 7 nights.

And the good thing is that no one else can book either, so you really have a great chance at getting what you want.

Not really true. Say you call on December 20 for November 20 for 5 nights. Someone can call on November 19 and book December 19 for 6 nights and get all your dates before you.

That's true, I didn't think of it that way. I have never had a problem getting what I wanted at my home resort, even the grand villa, so I guess I have never really thought it out that way.

Well, it would have to be a LOT of someones to lock you out. As I recall, so far, it only seems to happen for NYE or for the specialty villas for popular times.

If you call as soon as the 11 month window opens, the odds are very much in your favor almost all of the time.
