Folks,

Might someone be able to give me the details of how to make a reservation for others? I had a good feeling that the Rental Board would have a good population of those who know how to do this.

DW and I are using some of our points to send her parents to DVC in the week prior to President's Day. We're brand new DVC owners and will be enjoying our own DVC vacation in January. We decided that family can't let family stay anywhere else than DVC. Just need to figure out how to make the reservation for them.

Thanks in advance for your help!

When you call Member Services just tell them you have guests. They will want your guests names and how many in a room, its that simple.

Congradlations on your DVC Membership, we love it. We have been members for seven years. If you need any more information just E mail us directly Dvcpoints@aol.com and hopefully we can help out.

Have Fun Debbie & Bill

Thanks for your help. They have chosen to stay in a 1BR at OKW and have a request list a mile long (this villa or this villa or this villa or this villa BUT NOT this villa or this villa or this villa or this villa) -- I've told them that DVC attempts to meet requests but can't guarantee the requests.

In the end -- it's all going to be worth it, if only to hear them tell about how nice a place DVC is.

Just a little more unsolicited advice - :)

Try to find out what your guests are really after so you can make the requests more general. The more general, the more likely they'll be happy with their villa. Requesting specific villas increases your chances of getting nothing that you really want! (If the villas on yor request are occupied, the room assigner will have no idea what made that specifc villa the one you want).

For example, do they want an upper floor or ground floor? Do they want a view of the golf course or a pool? Do they want to be near a bus stop or the Hospitality House? Do they want to be in a building with an elevator?

List their requests in the order of importance - most people will list their smoking/non-smoking preference.

Then encourage them to arrange their schedules to check in early in the day - that's the best way to get requests.

Best wishes -
