Making reservation w/ Chef Mickey question?

I am sure this has been asked and answered many times before. However, I did a search and am unable to locate the thread.

I want to make reservation for Chef Mickey for the day we arrive. Do I need to use my park ticket to gain access into the park. We don't plan on going to park the day we arrive.

You don't need a ticket to eat at Chef Mickey's because it is in the Contemporary Resort. If you have a car you can drive over and tell the lot attendant that you are eating there. Otherwise you can take the bus from your resort to the MK and then walk over to the Contemporary.

Thanks!! I didn't know that!! If Chef Mickey was in MK would I need to use my ticket to gain entery?

If you're eating in a restaurant inside the parks, you need a park ticket. the only "exception" is Rainforest Cafe at Animal Kingdom, which technically isn't in the park.
