I'm having a really hard time planning meals for our trip in August since hours haven't come out yet. Since we have most of our meals in (or near) whatever park we're in. Alot of my planning centers around MK hours and the fireworks/parade. I'm sure lots of others of you micromanage plans like this, and it's hard to puzzle together without all the pieces. Should I use traditional August hours? Do we think the 'downsizing" of hours/parades and fireworks will continue into the summer?

We made PS's before the June hours came out. We planned some dinners around Eride night. We were surprised when they released such early eride nights a few weeks ago. We had dinners planned for 7pm, but eride night started at 7pm. We called and were able to change our times with very little problems.

Why don't you make a few multiple PS's when you think you will do MK (couple of days) and cancel what needs to be cancelled just to make sure you get the PS you want?

Paula I'm having the same problem. We too are going in August. The planning etc would help me keep busy in this time of waiting but is extremely frustrating without the hours. I don't know how much I want to rely on the histroy since that doesn't seem to have been the case recently and I can't help wondering how much the FT pkg is going to change things. This could be both good (longer hours, more shows) and bad (long lines added to the heat).

I'm wondering how long after the park closes the restaurants would stay open.. For example, what if I make a 7:00 p.m. dinner PS at a MK restaurant, then find out MK closes at 6:00? Or maybe the people taking PS reservations have a good enough idea of hours no to do this? Just wondering...

We meticulously made plans and ressies based upon historical hours for our trip in June. When the hours came out several meals just weren't going to work with the schedule. I wasn't about to spend the first 90 minutes of an E Night at a restaurant. I had a hard time rescheduling. We wound up with two separate tables at Hoop de do. Had to pick up 4:00 dinners and forget about getting back into Chef Mickey before 9:00 at night. It was sooo disappointing, but I'm glad we made the ressies anyway. Some of the planned meals did not need to be rescheduled and the process of choosing helped educate us about what choices to make the second time around.
