Making Park Reservations for first time and have some questions

1. We're going in June, but the park reservation calendar comes out with the current month, so Jan right now. I picked the date, selected the park, and followed thru. When I went to make the next park reservation, the calendar went back to Jan, so I had to start all over. Is there a simple way to do this where the calendar stays within the month that I just did the last park reservation?

2. It would be helpful to see the park reservations that I picked already listed on the calendar. Any place to see that, either while making the park reservations, or after I've finished?

3. Any way to bring up a list of the park reservations that I've made? I see them listed among the daily plans, along with room check-in and check-out, but I would like a simple place to just see which days our park reservations are for. Is there a way to bring up a list that is just the park reservations already made?

4. Is there a simple way to add other friends and family to the park reservations we've already made? Or will I need to select them with the same process, day by day, that I did when originally making the park reservations for my husband and myself? It would be much easier if there was a "copy" button somewhere for this process.

5. We have another trip planned for Dec 2021. We've booked our DVC rooms, and we both have AP's. Will we be limited as to how many park reservations we will be able to make? Will we be able to have park reservations for both trips?

Thank you for your help with this. I want to make sure that I understand everything I need to know for this process.

I'm really hoping to get some help with these park reservation issues. Any way to select all the days of a room reservation when making the park reservations? Seems like there should be some way to do this instead of having to start from square one for each separate day.

Thanks!

I figured this out when doing mine and it said I couldn't even though I knew I had enough days left, took me a minute to see I was in January not April!

2. It would be helpful to see the park reservations that I picked already listed on the calendar. Any place to see that, either while making the park reservations, or after I've finished? I don't think so! I had mine all written down in my travel planner and just went down the list!

It would be much easier if there was a "copy" button somewhere for this process. They have to go through the same process you did (or you can do it for them if you are disney friends - i can't think of the actual word for it, but you have to be linked up in order for you to do it for them).

I want to find the answer to question 5 of OP. I have an AP linked and DVC reservations linked. I looked for the rules, but could not find them.
I believe, from reading disney tourist blog that there are 3 buckets--1 for resort reservations, which DVC would fall in, 1 for AP, and 1 for day ticket guests. Since I am in 2 of the buckets, it seems like there should be no problem. I was able to make 9 days of park reservations before, but cancelled that trip and those park reservations. Now the system is only allowing me to make 5 days of park reservations. I must be doing something wrong.
Does someone know where the limitations are explained?

The system defaults you to the “Resort” bucket. If reservations are full for that bucket but availabke for AP, you will need to call to get a reservation from the AP bucket.

APs can book and hold 3 days of park reservations outside of any eligible resort stays, plus the days to cover the length of stay of any eligible resort bookings.

So the OP can book park reservations for the length of stay for the trip they have booked in December, plus the trip in June, plus 3 more random days, if they wish.

For @wishicouldgomoreofte, how many days is your booked resort stay? You should be able to book for that stay, checkin through checkout days, plus 3 more days anytime your AP is valid.

But how do we pick? Doesn't the system pick or assign us to a bucket?
Also, how do we know if one bucket or another is full, or almost full? I cancelled some today for a July reservation I cancelled. Do they immediately go back in the bucket they came from?

My trip is 7 nights, so including checkout days, I should be able to get 8 park reservations for my resort stay. I thought AP got 5 days. It is only 3? That is slim for locals, but really slim if you travel 2500 miles round trip. I am DVC, but if I were staying off sight, as many do, 3 days is not much. Thank you for your reply. Is there a place on WDW website that tell this?

It is 3 days for APs and has been 3 days since reopening. This link may help, and includes a link to view reservation availability by bucket. But if you are staying onsite, you will get length of stay, not just 3 days. https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/experience-updates/annual-passes/

You don’t pick. The system picks automatically.

You can see the different availability calendars on the Disney website.

No idea if a canceled booking is available for others immediately.

Thank you so much. That is clear. That did not come up today when I made park reservations for my new DVC reservation through My Disney Experience. Also, the rolling basis of 3 days of park reservations, as you use one you can make another, is infinitely more fair and reasonable than appeared at first.

Stupid question... do you call CRO or the passholder line?
