Making Hamburger Sliders...

My son is turning 10 and he requested Sliders for his bday party with the family.....

I want to put out a "topping" bar for the sliders, so my request to you ...

List your favorite toppings for burgers -- so I can create my grocery list.

American Cheese
Bacon
Ketchup

Tomato

Others may like:
Mayo
Mushrooms
Swiss Cheese

Not sure how fancy you want to get. Hope this helps---sounds like a great idea!!

I'd skip swiss cheese for 10 y/o's.

I'd add on some sauteed onions in addition to the regular onions.
The rest listed sound good!

I've also had some grilled pineapple on a burger and that is good, but I think it might be beyond the 10 y/o's realm of what they like.

My ds8 and ds10 prefer swiss (of course they will eat american if that is all there is). We went camping last week and they met a friend. He ate at our cabin and also requested swiss LOL I thought it was only my kids! The kid also requested jalepenos and that I didn't have. Some people also like BBQ sauce. My son also likes thousand Island dressing so it tastes like a big mac.

My kids love BBQ sauce, so I second that one.

We also love avocado on our burgers, kids and all. The rest sounds great, too.

My DD10 only likes cheese (American) and bacon on her burgers.

DS16 has branched out to cheddar cheese, sauteed onions, bacon and BBQ sauce.

Well since you put "birthday party with the family" I will assume you will have adults as well?

Good suggestions so far, I'll just add some not listed so far (and some unusual ones):

Guacamole
Pepper Jack cheese
Chili
A1 Sauce
Have seen this a few places: buffalo wing sauce and blue cheese crumbles
Also knew a place that added canadian bacon and grilled pineapple, mayo as condiment. Not bad at all!


P.S. Though my favorite combo is sauteed mushrooms, swiss, mayo and tomatoes
