Sat., Nov. 24th ~ MGM!
We got up, got ready, ate breakfast at the condo and headed into the World. I was happy to see this sign! We hadnt gone in this way the day before so this was our first gander at it! Its a site to behold, isnt it?
Then we went through these gates:
And into MGM! It was 9:30 when we got there. Ill save you the suspense
9:30 was the earliest we got anywhere! Each park has big tree. Here is MGMs:
We headed straight to Star Tours ~ a first for us! We saw these guys on our way in and Evan blushed!:
Evans favorite:
Owens favorite:
We all liked Star Tours! Abby would never admit it, but she did like it. Tom and Owen both said it made them a little queasy though. But we all agreed it was way cool! We perused Tatooine Traders for a few minutes and promised Evan wed come back later on.
Here are the boys on the speeder bike:
Here is a cute picture I took of Abby:
Next we walked up the Streets of America and pretty much had it to ourselves! We ran into Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable. Abby wanted to meet them but the boys did not! Owen said as loud as he possibly could have, Mom!! I dont even LIKE that show! Sheez. Anyway, here is the pic with Abby.
We were going to head to Lights, Motors, Action but it had started already so we doubled back to Star Tours so the boys could watch (and hope to get picked) Jedi Training.

Abby wasnt really feelin that!

So she and I went to watch the HSM pep rally! The boys didnt get picked to be Jedis but they enjoyed it ~ except for the fact that the sun was really heating up and Evan was wearing a black shirt. You may have noticed how blonde he is and very fair. Black shirt + blonde hair + fair skin = one uncomfortable boy.
Abby and I really enjoyed the pep rally! I took pics but they are on my phone ~ sorry! I am sure youve seen a few, youve seen them all. At any rate, we thought it was fun and impressive. Abby would not get up close enough to get picked to go out there. Not surprising. She was mortified if I so much as tapped my foot too! I teased her that I was going to get out there and dance and she slugged me!!! Yes, we can leave this stage any time now!
When it was over we headed back toward Star Tours to meet up with our boys. We regrouped and decided to go on the Great Movie Ride. Another first for us. There was very little wait for it as well. I can see what Uncle John meant by dont bother if the line is out the door though. We liked the ride
it was probably lost on the kids though since theyve not seen most of the movies. I felt a little bad when the alien scared the bejeezus out of Owen.
When we came out of that it was almost time for the next LMA show so we headed that way
again!

What is with the mile you have to walk to get to the bleachers for this show???

My ankle was beginning to catch on that it was being abused and I was really glad to finally sit down. We all really enjoyed this show! Owen especially! He exclaimed, Awesome! more times during that show than Ive ever heard him before! We took all the pictures youve seen before
cars spinning around, the jet ski, the dude on fire
but this was our favorite
Herbie! My kids laughed so hard when he split apart!
After the show we decided we were getting a little hungry and a lot thirsty! It was warming up
the cold snap was officially over! And now Abby was complaining about her black shirt too.
We hit the bathrooms outside of LMA and then broke out the mini water bottles we brought into the park with us. I had also brought those kool-aid mixers for the kids. After we were finished with them we put them in a ziplock in the backpack to fill up and use again later. We did this everyday and I am convinced it saved us a small fortune!
Since we had a ressie for the Sci-fi for 2:55 (as in 5 to 3:00!

) and we were only a little bit hungry we grabbed 3 of those huge pretzels from the snack cart there and sat and munched for a few minutes and watched the Power Rangers do their thing.
I noticed a couple CMs were guarding the end of one of the Streets of America so I walked over to see what they were guarding. As I suspected, it was these guys:
They said they were almost done but theyd be back later on.
While we were hanging out on the corner there I noticed something across the street that I had vowed I would find! I said Abby... take my picture with it! Here it is.....
Thanks, Abby! Where's the umbrella though???

FYI... it wasn't raining.
Up next
will we get to meet Lightening McQueen and will Abby and Evan perish of heat stroke?
