UPDATE HERE!!!
Still Sat. at MGM~
I left off the other day with us finishing up a pretzel snack while we watched the Power Rangers. We heard Lightening McQueen rev up his engine and knew he would drive right by where we were sitting to get back stage so we sat and waited for him and Mater. The boys thought it was cool to see them drive by.
Once they were gone we headed to the Backlot Tour. Again, another first for us. We liked it a lot. Id like one of these in my back yard:
Evan would have enjoyed the ride more but that darn black shirt was making him so uncomfortably hot. He was really glad when that wall of water came toward us!
Here are the boys after the ride with none other than Darth Vader:
And with a storm trooper:
We checked out the gift shop and decided we really should get Evan and Abby shirts that were not black! We found a cute HSM2 shirt for Abby and she liked it so much she wore it several times the rest of the week (thanks to the fact we had a washer and dryer in the condo) so you will see it again and again in our pictures!

There wasnt a shirt that Evan liked but he knew there was one he wanted at Tatooine Traders so we walked back that way.
He picked out a cool storm trooper shirt that youll see him in soon. He also bought a Jedi Mickey for himself. He loves it and sleeps with it every night. After he and Abby both changed into their new shirts it was about time for our ressie at Sci-Fi. I checked in while Tom and the kids found a place to sit outside. We waited for about 15 minutes to get seated. During that time several people walked in and asked how long the wait was and were turned away because they werent taking walk ups. I felt bad for them but at the same time wondered if they had not done any research at all. Even on our first trip I knew better than that!
We got seated in the last row of cars in a blue car.

Owen was very excited to sit in the drivers seat! Now I had not planned on eating a full meal here because I had read so many negative reviews but as it worked out we hadnt eaten lunch yet so a meal it would be. The boys both had hot dogs and fries. They were the nastiest hot dogs Ive ever had the displeasure of tasting! Really disgusting! But they must have been starving because they did eat them. Well, the waiter also said they couldnt get their drivers licenses until they finished! Abby and Tom had hamburgers and I had some kind of turkey sandwich. They were not objectionable just nothing to write home about. The kids and Tom all had milkshakes too. They were really good. I just really wanted a diet coke more than anything! No glowtini for me, I'm afraid.
After we ate we wanted to go back and see if we could get pictures with Lightening and Mater. They were due out at 4:00 and it was just after that. By the time we got over there and tried to get in line we were turned away. The boys took it in stride though and said they didnt want to stand in that line anyway. Instead we got in line for Power Rangers. Evan and Owen got in line for the green ranger. Here they are:
And much to my surprise, Abby wanted to get in line for the pink ranger. Here she is being a good sport and posing just like the ranger told her to:
See Abby and Evans new shirts? Much cooler!
Here are the boys with the Ranger Mobile ~ or whatever its called!
We decided since wed spent our whole day up to this point on this half of the park we really should try to get over to the other side! But first I wanted to see where Toy Story Mania was going to be. A nice CM offered to take a picture for us. I asked him to get the sign above our head in and after he took it he said he did better than that, he got 5 signs in! Not the close up I was thinking wed get but I can always zoom it in if I want. Here is that picture:
We made our way over to the pin shop under the Hat and looked around for a bit. I cant remember if the kids got pins or not. On our way to the Animation Workshop we saw Handy Manny and Owen wanted to meet him. Evan was not into that at all. Twins, yes... but totally different interests and Evan is WAY worried about people thinking he's a baby. Owen could care less what you think!

Anyway, here is Owen with Manny:
We headed in to the Animation Workshop and there was Frozone! COOL! ~ pun intended! Evan and Owen with Frozone:
Abby with Frozone:
There were too many people in line for the workshop but we were first in the stand-by line. While we were waiting Mr. and Mrs. Incredible came out and replaced Frozone. The boys didnt really want to draw so they went and got this taken:
Mr. Incredible gave Tom two thumbs up for his Mr. Incredible t-shirt! Yeah, I bought that!
It was nice to go to the Animation workshop with just Abby. We drew Stitch. In hindsight I wish I hadnt drawn though because Abby kept comparing hers to mine and feeling bad about hers. The instructor said that Stitch is the hardest of all the characters to draw and I kept reminding her of that but she was really hard on herself nonetheless. I took pics of them just now but for some reason my computer doesn't feel like uploading them. I'll try again later if anyone is really interested.
After we finished up there, we headed toward those Streets of America again! This time to see the Osbourne Family Lights. When we got there we discovered everyone else in the park was there too! It was WALL TO WALL peoples! We couldnt even get down the street! We stood at one end for a few minutes and watched. The lights dance to music. It was very festive and pretty and I was moved to tears to be standing there with my family after having spent such a fun day together. Here are some pictures of Christmas decorations and lights.
And some heading back to the front on the park:
Here is the big MGM tree all lit up:
We originally had considered staying for Fantasmic but we were spent and my ankle hurt so we headed out of the park and were in the car by 7:00. We stopped for ice cream on the way back to the condo, did some laundry, iced my ankle, drugged me up and hit the hay!
Up next
Magic Kingdom!
