Making Good on a Very Merry Promise! COMPLETE!

That's great you guys visited all the countries and finished the masks. They are all really cool.

We did that once...it took all day long! It was fun though:goodvibes

That was a pretty dress she liked. I bought an outfit for Trevon when he was 4 1/2 in China Town in San Francisco. I bought a green silk 2 pc. outfit and 2 of the dresses, like long coats for men, one black silk and one gold. They were beautiful. He wore an outfit for Halloween that year and then he wore the black silk one so much, out to dinner, whenever he wanted to dress up, he litterally wore it out, it was coming apart:laughing:

Glad you guys enjoyed yourselves so much. I love Epcot, and your photos are beautiful:)

great update. thanks for the info it was up as I did not get notified. when we went to China kidcot was in the back in the shop where u come out after seeing something and they had plenty of stuff for sale so i would think that is a gift shop. :confused3 unless they move it. it could be moved easily.

the masks look great.

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: The troll conversation was PRICELESS! I'm glad you included it!

I'm impressed that the kids finished their masks. I would have given up by Morocco. I do love the dress in China...

I just looked up my Chinese zodiac sign and I'm the snake too! :scared1:

Funny story.... the one and only time I passed out was from a snake crawling across my feet at the food place at Blizzard Beach!:scared:

Congrats on driving again! Was it a Mustang?

Yay!!!

Great update Love!!!

Doing all the kid cots look like a blast!!!

Tell the kids their masks were awesome!!!

Great pics of course!!!

yay to getting to drive:banana:

which we already knew because we used to watch Sagwa!

OMG! I loved this show  even though I was probably too old to watch. I always wanted to get a Siamese cat and name it Sagwa..... Wouldn't you know it I did get one this summer (a Siamese cat) that looked just like her and forgot all about that!!

Oh well guess that's out the window

Great update Nicole! The masks turned out great. It is so hard to do everything in WS in a day so great idea to just focus on the kidcot. Love the dress and t-shirts from China. Great troll picture for your imaginary friend!

I guess you guys don't want to hear that it is 75 degrees here right now!

I'm glad you approve of my plan of attack!

Next time maybe we will focus on Alcholic Drinks of the World ~ for mommy, ya know? ;)

Loved your update! I have never seen those masks before, Igiess they are just for holidays. My kids started making F&W masks the ones with the chef hat on. We never finished them this trip as DH forgot to bring them back to Epcot when we came back for dinner. Usually we finish the maks every trip. I enjoyed all your World showcase pitures too.

Aw, thanks! :goodvibes They have lots of different masks that are used at different times of the year. I also read that sometimes you can get a different mask depending on what country you get them in. Makes sense... otherwise why would you do it more than once, right? And how else would they make sure you visit all of those gift shops?!?! :rotfl: Disney is no dummy!

UPDATE HERE!!!

Wrapping up our last day at Epcot~

We had toured the whole World… now what? It was a little early but we decided to scope out a spot for the tree lighting ceremony. We found a place we liked and plopped down on the ground to rest and wait.

The lighting ceremony is really cute. All the characters come out dressed in their holiday best and they sing and dance. It is very festive! Sorry this pic is blurry but it’s the only one I have of the show.

Here is the tree and the arches along the walkway before they are lit.

And now… lit.

IMG_1118.jpg

And another shot a little further back.

IMG_1119.jpg

Then these look like giant white pricker balls during the day ~ but they sure are pretty all lit up.

The decorations are really beautiful! They change colors and are set to Christmas music and are synchronized with the fountain too.

After the show we headed to Mousegears. This place was wall to wall peoples when we tried to go in the first night of our trip so we turned right around and left! So we were anxious to shop! I had not bought a single thing for myself yet and now was my last chance! I picked out a hoodie and Tom found a shirt he wanted. Abby bought a HSM2 bracelet with some of her money she had left. Owen picked out a Cars vehicle he wanted. Evan couldn’t find anything.

While we were shopping we kept ending back up at the potato head display! The kids were having such a good time making different ones. I got to thinking. :scratchin You could probably fit a lot of parts in those boxes. We already have the potato heads at home. Let’s just see how many parts we can cram in there! So all 5 of us worked at picking out parts and stuffing them in the box. I don’t know how many we ended up with but it was a lot! So we headed to the check out with arms full of stuff.

After all that shopping we decided we were getting hungry. Where to go???

We had been happy with our meal at Electric Umbrella our first night so we went there again. My ankle was killing me so Tom and Abby got in line to order and the boys and I found a table outside so we could sit and watch the lights and the fountain.

I think this is when I called Uncle John and my sister. We chatted for a few minutes about what a great time we had been having.

We sat and ate and just soaked up the holiday atmosphere… all the while knowing our vacation was coming to an end. Very bittersweet.

Evan asked if he could please get something from the gift shop outside of Nemo that he had asked to get on our very first day. It was all he really wanted. Of course we obliged. Tom walked him over there to get it.

The restaurant was barren so we didn’t feel the least bit guilty taking up this table for an hour or more.

Here is Owen with his car~

IMG_1122.jpg

And Evan with his now most beloved possession. It’s a dolphin.

IMG_1121.jpg

Tom decided to take some stuff (namely the masks and the little posters) to a locker so we wouldn’t have to deal with that while we watched Illuminations. He came back all excited and said that TT only had a 5 minute wait! Did anyone want to ride?
Me ~ yes!
Owen ~ yes!
Evan ~ yes!
Abby ~ nope.
Sigh. :sad2:
Alright… you take the boys, I’ll stay with Abby.

Off they go. :wave2:

Then they come back. :confused3

Evan changed his mind right when they got to the ride.

Evan stayed with us while Tom and Owen went to ride.

After their spin around the GM proving grounds they rejoined us and we headed back toward Mexico to find a place to watch Illuminations.

But first, one more shot of the tree.

IMG_1124.jpg

And a nice family offered to take this one of all of us. We offered to return the favor but they already had one… just paying it forward. Ahhh, Disney magic. :cloud9:

IMG_1125.jpg

We stopped in the gift shop right there on the edge of the lake. I don’t know what is normally in there but it was filled with Christmas decorations at that time. We wanted an ornament to commemorate this wonderful vacation. We got a very YOMD looking one. Even though we hadn’t won an official dream, our trip was still dreamy and magical to us.

We didn’t venture too much farther to find a place to watch the fireworks. My foot was so overdone at that point! We stopped just before the bridge into Mexico, found a spot we liked and people watched and waited for the show to begin.

I didn’t take any pictures. I wanted to just watch and enjoy. Remember, we hadn’t seen it before.

It was amazing!!! (Not like I need to tell all of you that!) We all really enjoyed it and I’m glad we made a point to stay and watch even though we were all so very tired.

We headed out a little before it was over because I didn’t want to fight a massive crowd while hobbling from the pain in my ankle. We reluctantly headed toward the entrance, stopping every few feet to stop and turn around and watch for a second and then resume our march toward the end of a wonderful, magical, fabulous, all we could’ve asked for and more family vacation.

Next up ~ move out! And I’ll also wrap this up with some final thoughts.

awwww, the trip is winding down to an end. How sad :sad2:

Your pictures are awesome though. I got chills when I saw the picture of the archway and xmas tree all lit up. Looks so magical!! :thumbsup2

That stinks that not everyone wanted to ride TT.

Glad Evan got his beloved dolphin  very cute.

That's so great that another family offered to take ya'lls picture infront of the xmas tree. Gotta love disney. There is no where else that I would ever hand my camera off to a stranger. It's just something about disney that makes everyone feel like they're your next door neighbor.

Anyways, great update love :thumbsup2 It will be sad to see your TR come to an end.

The lights look fantastic. :goodvibes

I'm glad you finally bought some stuff for you and I can't believe Evan remembered about the dolphin, he must have really wanted it :)

Hope your ankle got better

:sad1: I don't want it to be over!

I teared up just thinking about that "final stoll" :sad1:

I'm so glad you got to enjoy Illuminatioins, in one of the best viewing spots too!
Sounds like you last night was a relaxing one (isn't that an oxymoron @ Disney World?!?)
