Re: Kitchen Sink
The $22 sounds like a lot but if you look at the menu and see the typical dessert is about $5pp.....The kitchen sink was a better way to go for us:thumbsup2 and a lot more fun........When they bring it they turned the lights down and started yelling about the little piggeys trying to eat the kitchen sink......it was great.....it has alot of brownies in it also......it gets really gross in the bottom of the sink.....which is perfect for us!!!
It is a sink (might not be able to tell in the photo), small round one....I estimated about 10 scoops of ice cream.......

Here is another great dessert from Le Cellier!!!!

I can't see either one of the pictures :sad2: but, the way you describe the kitchen sink now makes me want one even more. Can't wait!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

Hey Nicole! We have snow and ice here and I have somewhere to go tonight. Could you come over and drive me around?! Thanks!

How's your ankle feeling these days?

Just checking in while I have sporadic internet. I'm off to post an update before it's gone again!:confused3

Yuck... snow and ice are not a good combo! And if I were there I would drive you all around just like Miss Daisy!

The ankle is coming along nicely... I really feel an improvement in the last few days! :thumbsup2

I was thinking OH YAY Monica has her service back! :woohoo: Yes... get that update up there while you can! I really should be doing an update myself shouldn't I?

UPDATE HERE!

Kidcot continues~

Next on our World tour was China!

Here is a picture that everyone takes! My version:

The kids diligently working on their masks.

Abby’s is coming along nicely:

IMG_1095.jpg

The China kidcot station was not in the gift shop. It was however right next door to it. Abby was eyeing the pretty dresses while the boys were finishing up. So of course we had to go in there and look!

Here she is with one that she wanted us to buy for her.

IMG_1096.jpg

I feel a little bad we didn’t get it. At the time I was thinking that is so impractical ~ where would you wear it??? Oh well… maybe next time. And it isn’t like we went to the REAL China and didn’t buy one!

Also in the China shop are these “year of” shirts. The kids thought they were cool and wanted to know which ones we all were.

Evan and Owen: Year of the Snake

IMG_1097.jpg

Abby: Year of the Rat (which we already knew because we used to watch Sagwa!)

IMG_1098.jpg

Me: Year of the Monkey (shocking, I know!)

IMG_1099.jpg

Tom: Year of the Ram (I will refrain from making any comments about stubborn-ness :sad2: )

IMG_1100.jpg

On to Norway!

The CM at the kidcot station was really super nice. She was very chatty telling us about where all she had traveled in the States while she was here. She seemed to really be making the most of her experience in our country as possible. I thought that was really inspiring.

Here are the kids with the troll ~ I promised Monica I would take this picture and so I did. :goodvibes

IMG_1101.jpg

We seriously had this converstation:

Me: Kids, get over there with that troll so I can take your picture.
Abby: Okaay  , why?
Me: Because Monica told me to.
Abby: Who's Monica? :confused3
Tom: Just get over there! :headache:
Then Tom to me: One of your imaginary friends I presume. :sad2:

Our last and final destination on this whirlwind kidcot tour was Mexico!

We had made it all the way around!!! :woohoo:

One of my too dark pictures from inside ~

IMG_1102.jpg

At this point we were exhausted and none of us even felt like looking around at the various Mexican wares. So sorry ~ no sombrero pictures from this tired family. We just went to the kidcot station to finish up.

Here are the kids with their completed masks~

Evan~

Owen~

And Abby~

And for going to every country along the way they were awarded these for their effort~

So, that concludes the kidcot tour! But it is not even dark yet… so don’t fret, there is more! :yay:

Up next… Mickey lights a Christmas tree! :santa:

hey Love! Great update! :lovestruc

I'm sure that dress would have looked great on your DD but I don't blame you for not buying it. The shirts are pretty funny too.

The kids finished masks look great! And I laughed when I read about the troll picture! :rotfl: Hopefully if you guys ran into any Disers on the rest of your trip he was a little more open to the idea. :thumbsup2 I know meeting Cheri and Tat was what turned Chris around on the idea. He kept making fun of me for Dising all the time but after he saw how cool some of the people on here are, he's totally into it now. He keeps asking me if we're gonna have any new dis meets this time :rotfl:

and look, it's a rare occasion but I was the first to comment on your update!!  ahhhh the little things in life!

Nicole, what a great Mom you are - getting them to finish their masks and get the poster! :worship: We got a whopping two (yes, count em - TWO) charms from the Kidcots! :sad2: But I'll get to that eventually in the trip report:rolleyes1

Love all of the pictures, and I can't wait for more...

Sara

:lmao: Yay on the troll pic! Guess what?! I didn't get one!:rotfl: (You'll see why in a couple of months when I get to that day!) Thanks for thinking of me when you saw the big, ugly troll! I appreciate it!

Nicole, did you intentionally cut out the years on the "Year of" shirts?!:rolleyes1

Great update! You did better than me on the country picture taking!

:woohoo: You are on the ball today Carla!

I think Tom sort of gets the whole dis thing... he just really likes to tease me about it.

And while we are on the subject... DID we ever meet any dissers?!?! :scratchin

It's all relative Sara... yes, we did all the kidcots but we didn't ride any rides in the WS at all. But that is what the kids wanted to do ~ so that is what we did!

Now don't twist my words and say the ugly troll reminded me of you! ;)

Nope... didn't intentionally cut the years out... I am just a terrible photog! :sad2: Mine is 1968 and Tom's is 67. I am an open book! YES PEOPLE... I am turning 40 this year! But not until Oct... don't rush me!

yes I am! :woohoo:

Guys are so funny. Tease Tease Tease. I'm just glad they don't pull our hair anymore when they like a girl. :rotfl: :rotfl:

hehe...hmmmm, I guess we'll find out later on huh? (good cliffhanger btw)

I love those year of the ? shirts, very cool.

The kids masks are fabulous, great jobs :thumbsup2

So funny about the kids talking about your imaginary friends :rotfl2:

Ooh, the finished picture is cool!

Great update. I like reading about the kidcot since we didn't do it last time. I like your pics, I never take pics of the buildings or landscape. I really only take ones that one of the family is in! My scrapbooks get so full that I don't have room for the other stuff!!

I just wanted to mention to my former Michigan friend that it is currently 18 degrees out and that is the highest it has been in 3 days!! :sad2:

:yay: about the foot! Glad it is better!

Thanks Jo... I'll tell the kids that one of my imaginary friends really liked the masks! :rotfl:

Yes, it is pretty cute. I have no idea how we got them home without bending them all up ~ but I'm glad we did! :thumbsup2

As much as I wish I could've explored the WS more I am glad that we approached it this way for the first time. I think we all may have been a little overwhelmed to try and do and see everything. The kidcots helped us to feel like we accomplished something... does that make any sense?

I'm sorry it is sooo cold up there! If it makes you feel any better it was only 36 when I took the kids to the bus stop this morning! :confused3 But if it is only 18 even that might sound heavenly.

I won't tell you what the temp is now. :rolleyes1

Great update Nicole! The masks turned out great. It is so hard to do everything in WS in a day so great idea to just focus on the kidcot. Love the dress and t-shirts from China. Great troll picture for your imaginary friend!

I guess you guys don't want to hear that it is 75 degrees here right now! :rolleyes1
