Who brought you to tears

:rotfl2:

Coming up Sharky!

UNCLE JOHN SAYS:
Great minds think alike!! Poohtigeey you stole my thunder.....I was about 3 pages back reading through...thinking....hidden Mickey in the leg slime!!!
OR was that really your leg in the photo and you claimed it was a tree outside???:lmao: OH well!!!!

Excuse me... I was not slimy! And aren't you so very funny?

I never knew they had Santas from every country......dang it....something else I have to do.....add it to the list...

I knew something you didn't know! Nanna, nanna, boo, boo! Besides... you know you like finding something to put on that list of reasons to go back!

Love the doors.........You didnt take any pictures of the kids holding the giant golf ball in their hand from across the lake-- Rookie mistake!!!!

Cya.....gotta go snowblow the *&*&$#@&*%$ driveway again!!!

Grr... I know! Prime photo op just completely forgotten! Next time...

Is it still snowing for crying out loud?!?! It was 75 here yesterday! That probably doesn't help you out though, does it? :confused3

Congrats on getting the cast off. Now starts the awkward period of you SCREAMING if anyone comes near you leg/ankle. :rotfl2: Don't worry, it will eventually go away.
Did you leg shrink a lot??
I'm so glad it's feeling better already!

I didn't have much atrophy this time. I did when I had the cast on last time but that was for longer.

I paid for walking around the house all day yesterday w/o the boot on! I was pretty uncomfy last evening. Guess I'll wear the darn thing a little bit more for now.

Great update on the first part of World Showcase. Yep, that looks JUST like Niagara Falls!! I like the doors. Too bad you didn't get a picture of Santa. I always wanted to catch the British Invasion, but never got a chance to.

Darn photobucket! I wanted to read more!!!!!

Coming right up!

Congrats on getting the cast off and the stitches out. So, how hairy was it??:lmao:

You should have saved some of that leg hair for me.:scared:

BTW. did you know hair extensions START at $482. Yeah, I think I'll just wait for it to grow back, thanks.

Good Lord it wasn't THAT hairy! You've got pretty long hair Nikki!

This is funny! Nicole and I were taling on my report how we think alike and so do our hubbies! Maybe I should join your family! Sounds like I'd fit right in!

I do believe you would fit right in!

Hi! I'm a late arrival but loving your TR! Your Evan looks so much like my nephew. Can't wait to read more and hope you feel better soon!

Hi Liz and :welcome: to my little corner of the DIS. So you have a blondie too, huh?

I've got another update coming right up!

I really do hope this did the trick... I am looking forward to getting back to the gym! And no pain at Disney ~ that would be wonderful!

I hope so too. I read in one of your other responses that you don't have the pain from your nerve. That's a good sign :thumbsup2

:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Nicole, glad to hear you are doing well......now get some dinner cooked, clean house, get the laundry caught up.....WOMAN!!!!
Did you have funk-u-litus when they took the cast off?? It's something your sister always gets!!! Ask her about it!!:rotfl: She gives it some medical term!!!

you had me :lmao: with your reply. I love when "Uncle John Says" :lmao:

And I must say, after many many trips to Disney World I had never done the "hold the ball up" picture until last september. I'm so glad I didn't continue to make that rookie mistake :rotfl: Took me long enough!

UPDATE HERE!!!

WS Continues…

I forgot to include this photopass picture last time. It was taken on the bridge between the UK and France. It was the only PP photographer we used all day.

image66.jpg

Blech... I had completely given up on the hair by this day!

Okay… back to the UK~

I left off the other day telling you that someone brought tears to my eyes. It happened when we were looking for the kidcot station in the UK. We were making our way to the back of the gift shop to the station when we spotted …

IMG_1075.jpg

Yes, none other than Mary Poppins! I got all teary at the sight of her! I don’t know why! I guess I just fondly remember the movie and the music from when I was little and I wasn’t thinking about seeing her and the surprise and excitement of it brought me to tears. :confused3 The boys couldn’t have cared less but Abby wanted a picture with her.

Picture of a souvie we did not buy!

IMG_1076.jpg

To France we go!

Have I mentioned the kidcot stations are mostly conveniently located in the gift shops! Instead of buying something everywhere we took redneck pictures of stuff!

Don’t the boys look fantastique in these berets! Ooh, la, la.

IMG_1077.jpg

Abby really liked it in France. She loved Madeline when she was little and noticed all the French details here from the stories we used to read over and over. In fact here is Abby dressed as Madeline for Halloween when she was 5. (I couldn’t resist!)

MadelineAbby.jpg

Sorry... forgot to crop and resize that. :headache:

Anyway, she bought an Eifle Tower for herself as that is something she would really love to see someday ~ the real one. Disneyland Paris???

I read on the boards that the coffee in France was especially good so we decided to get some. Abby said she wanted a cappuccino. I really didn’t think she would like it but we got one for her anyway. I think the boys got a soda or something. My coffee was yummy and so was Abby's cappuccino. I know because I drank both!

Next up is Morroco!

IMG_1078.jpg

More work on the masks.

IMG_1079.jpg

See that trunk behind Evan? I really wanted to bring it home with me. Nope, not for sale.

The CM’s working the kidcot station here were very chatty… with each other… in their language. I got the impression that they were talking about another one of the CM’s working in the gift shop and not nicely either. Very un-Disneylike but since I do not speak Moraccan I could not be sure.

Japan is next.

I know that we went to Japan but I do not have a single picture! I remember it was a busy kidcot station and I was still two fisting the coffees. Yep, that is why I don’t have pictures… hands full.

I do remember that we all really liked the metal toy robots in there. They were very interesting, especially to the boys. We skipped the gift shop as it looked to me like it was full of “you break it, you buy it” type things. :sad2:

Next up ~ America!

As we walked into the America Pavilion this overwhelming sense of familiarity came over me. I wondered if that is how visitors from other countries feel when they step into their “home” pavilion in WS.

This is the Christmas tree in America.

IMG_1081.jpg

And this is a life size Gingerbread house. Yummy!

IMG_1082.jpg

While we were there the Spirit of America Fife and Drum Corps came out. I wanted to watch for a bit but the kids thought it was too loud. So we kept moving.

Onto Italy!

We found the kidcot station pretty quickly here. I don’t remember too much about it. I do remember that I wanted this sun hanging on the wall… but a picture of it will have to suffice.

IMG_1083.jpg

Isn’t it cool? Love it!

The kids with the fountain.

IMG_1084.jpg

Moving right along to Germany!

Look at how the little train village is even decorated for Christmas!

IMG_1086.jpg

Tom found something he wanted while the kids worked on their masks.

IMG_1087.jpg

Too bad they cost like … gosh I don’t remember, but it was a LOT! So I took a picture of one for free!

Some more holiday décor in Germany.

IMG_1089.jpg

IMG_1090.jpg

The boys and the German fountain.

IMG_1091.jpg

And Abby and the fountain.

IMG_1092.jpg

We will continue our world kidcot tour next time! Thanks for reading! :goodvibes

Great update Nicole! No GGVLS for you? :confused3

Love the pictures - much cheaper souvenirs! Good call! :thumbsup2

We loved the little train town in Germany - so cute! I don't recall the miniature Christmas decorations though (maybe they weren't up since it was before Thanksgiving).

We ran into the same thing in Norway regarding the CMs talking to one another in their language and you could obviously tell it wasn't something nice! I got that self-conscious fear that they were talking about me (like Elaine in Seinfeld at the nail salon, or hair salon, or drycleaner, I can't remember). :sad1:

Sara

I'm enjoying going around the world with you and your family.
How cute is Abby as Madeline!! Loved it.

PS, you probably shouldn't tell her you posted that. :rotfl:

Seems like you made it through that half of WS pretty fast, must have been all that caffeine :rotfl:
When my DD was Abby's age and wanted frappucinos, I always made sure to order her what I like ;) Java chip for me, Java chip for her, um I mean me

Well, I never would have guessed Mary Poppins!:rotfl: I know the feeling though.

LOVE the pic of Abby as Madeline. Thanks for sharing! We have a picture of Megan in the beret too.

It sounds like you really enjoyed WS. I'm so glad you decided to give Epcot a try. Can't wait to hear about the rest of you day.

Sara

Okay, I'm stumped. What is GGVLS? :confused3 OH!!! Wait! The slushies?!?! I'll tell ya about that next time!

Nah, probably should keep that to myself! :rolleyes1 And she made an absolutely adorable Madeline! :lovestruc I remember she wanted me to dye her hair red... she wanted to be completely in character!

Yes... we were zipping through the WS at hyper speed! No, not really. I just don't have a lot to say about each stop! I am not kidding when I say we took the kidcot tour. That is really all we did. Am I boring ya'll to tears?!?! :confused3

Great update love. I love your pictures of stuff for free :rotfl: too funny.

I can't believe they even decorated the little train village. Wait a sec, it's disney, yes i can.

That's funny that you ended up with both coffee's. You must have been really wound up after that!

I love your FP Picture too! Very nice. It's hard to keep hair looking nice at WDW. That's why I wore a hat the whole time in Sept.

OH! And Two thumbs up on finding Merry Poppins. I LOVE her!! I hope to find her in one of the parks this Sept.

Again with the sneaky posting!

Yep, Mary Poppins! :confused3 I hear "feed the birds, tuppence a bag" and go all mushy! :sad2:

We had fun with the berets! How do you type that obnoxious thing we Americans do to act like the French... you know like the chef in Little Mermaid? Anyway, the boys were laughing at me because I was talking to them with my french accent about how "fantastique" they looked! At least they still let me be playful!

Yes... both coffees. Other than the little tic, I was fine! J/K Are you picturing me like the Joan Cusack character on Meet the Robinson's? "I got the caffeine patch! You can stay awake for days with no side effects! AAAHHHHHHHH! Oh, sorry!" :rotfl2: Cracks me UP!!!

Be sure to look in the gift shop in the UK for Mary Poppins! :thumbsup2

I love all the great pictures, esp. the family one with the christmas border, that's really nice:)

My dad has a bunch of those mugs from when he lived overseas. I bet they're worth a pretty penny now:laughing:

Have you guys ever been into the candy shop in Japan? That is one of our favorite things to do at Epcot! They have a whole store full of "Japan candy" as we call it. It's so fun ~ we always get these little bags with sugar crystal candies, like rock candy but in little pieces:lovestruc the kids LOVE them! It is so fun to pick out a bunch of candy to try, they are all in Japanesse so you have to try and fugure out what they are or ask someone who works there. They like milk, they had lots of milk flavored candies.

Looking forward to more:wizard:

Aww, that's a cute update. I love the photopass picture of you all. Your hair doesn't look bad at all. Nothing like the 70's disco 'fro I had the whole time I was there.

Mary Poppins is who brought you to tears? I never would have guessed. Thought it was something sweet your kids did.:confused3

I take it Abby didn't like the cappuccino?:lmao: That's my fave!! Especially with a shot of french vanilla in it!:thumbsup2 Were you bouncing off the walls after drinking that and a coffee?:rotfl:

Can't wait for more of the kidcot tour.:goodvibes
