Hi all!

Could you please give me your input... Money is really tight this year and I want to decorate our tree. I was thinking of buying a couple of cookie cutters (cardinal, bird house) and buying some clay and paint, does this sound like a realistic idea?

If you guys have any experience or any advice, I will truly appreciate it.

Thanks! :goodvibes

Polymer clay is fun to work with. Other ideas could be bread dough ornaments...couple of slices of white bread, some Alene's glue and a little paint in a baggie, mix up, it will make a dough, and then make your ornies. Or a salt dough ornie that is baked...

At Mike's I have also seen the cast plaster ornies, just paint and add a ribbon hanger, they were really inexpensive. Clear glass ornies with paint drizzled inside, turn upside down over a cup, and you have marbled glass. They also have cute bead kits at Mikes...

:santa:

Thanks! I was also interested in the plaster ones, I had painted some over years pasts with my daughter.

:)

If you have a Joanne Fabrics near you. This
Sat & Sun. up here they have a sale on wooden
ornaments to be painted 3/.99
You could probably check the website for your area.
I prefer the plaster ones better, I am not as talent
in painting. Plaster ones help with demension.
I figured I would share the info. if your interested.

The wooden ornaments from Joanns can also be used with markers and crayons for the little ones. My 3 yr old decorated some and we sent them to the troops for the holidays.

Thank you ladies, I will check JoAnn's today.

Happy Holidays!!!
