I don't want to buy an Epcot Passport for my son to use but I have no idea how I'd go about making one. Construction paper? Anyone ever made their own before?

HI,
I have the Epcot Passport Pages that another Diser emailed me, and I'd be happy to pass them on to you. I'd just need your email address.

Go to the DISigns board here on the DIS. There are some really great passport ideas there. I like donatalie (sp?) versions.

Choose one of the designs on the left.

I downloaded those pictures and then printed them on index cards. I got a little album from the dollar store and put the cards in each picture slot. The little album was in the party favor section and it really was a little bachelorette plastic album. I just took the bachelorette card out of the front pocket and put in the EPCOT passport cover.

I used a dark blue 2 pocket folder for the covers. I chose one that was kind of textured like the outside of a passport. If your from another country you could choose a different color folder. And I bought a wooden stamp of a world map off ebay. Then I used gold ink. It made a really authentic looking cover. I used the pages from another forum to make the inside.

Will they stamp it if you make it yourself?!

Yes. And they will usually make a fuss over it too talking about how creative or cute etc.

Most of the cast members were excited to see the home made passports. My kids pages had room for them to write some phrases in their native language. And they were always happy to take the extra time to add them.

My daughter went to one of the stations in Epcot and picked up a mask. We then visited each country and she got to add more decor and the cast members wrote her name in different languages or added a little something to the mask. This was a favorite activity and she loved going to the countries because of this activity. It was all free!

There are some great suggestions here, thanks :thumbsup2 So, after I print out the pages I want to use do I just staples them together? Is there another way to put the pages together? Sorry, I'm not very crafty yet.

Check out the Creative DISigns board on the disboards. There are some very talented graphic designers there that will make one for you. I printed one from one of those designers a couple of years ago, but I can't seem to find it now. I also had one make a special invitation for DD from Cinderella to attend the BBB. They can make T-shirt designs, scrapbook graphics and all kinds of things. The Epcot Passport I got was adorable!

What a great idea. We made autograph books and T-shirts but I never though of a passport.
We leave in 8 days, I hope I can find the time to make some. :tink:

I used the pages from the DIS creative thread.

I printed them on index cards and then had a cover page made.

I took it to Staples and had them laminate the cover and then they bound the whole book like a spiral notebook and they added a back cover.

I also did this for my DD's autograph book.

The characters loved that they had their own colorful page in the autograph book.

Here's a link to my old thread where I posted pictures of my completed books:

I think we just brought along a small notebook one year...worked just fine for stamps and notations,etc....
