Making ADR's for large groups.

Our extended family of 16 is planning a trip in June. We are trying to get in some pretty popular places. So far we have gotten in everywhere but Chef Mickey's and 'Ohana.

Does anyone have any tips for booking a large group? The drop down box on the Dining website only goes up to 14. Which makes it difficult. My SIL called the 407-wdw-dine number. Is there a better number to call for our group?

Any hints or assistance would be appreciated.

We also have a large group going (15). I made resevations for 14 at 6am, then when the phone lines opened I called and played umm dumb-(1 is an infant) and had them change the ressies to 15-In some cases they couldn't, but the woman on the other end, told me to let them know when we arrive for our reservations. I called the group dining reservation line. I couldn't get Cape May or Fantasmic dinner pkg- Good Luck!

For a group of that size you need to call Grand Gatherings line in order to make ressies.
They are equiped to help get large parties into the restaurants.

I called the Grand Gatherings line and the only reservation she could help me with was for a special International Dinner and Dessert reception. She had 14 spaces left, so I booked them. It sounds great, a buffet of foods prepared by the chefs around the world showcase. The kids get to dance with the characters and then we get VIP seating for Illuminations! I just need two more spots so I will keep calling and hopefully we can get everyone in. I am not certain if my MIL and SIL will eat the food they have there, they are super picky eaters.

So far I have gotten us into

1900 Park Fare 8 of us at 7:05pm and 8 of us at 7:40 I would like these to be closer together.

50's Prime Time Cafe all 16 of us at 11:15

Crystal Palace all 16 of us at 12:45

and
'Ohana 6 of us at 9:30 and then 6 of us at 9:55. (hope to get this one earlier) MIL and SIL won't eat here.

So I just wanted say that persistence can pay off and dining reservations can change pretty quickly.

You can call the regular wdw-dine number and ask for Group Sales/Dining to help with regular restaurant reservations. Grand Gatherings offers special dining events specifically for large families/groups.
