Making ADR Thread - hold times, IT vents, and general whine!

Whew! Time to celebrate....the ADR's are done!

I called right at 7am, was on hold about 35 minutes and then spent about 30 minutes making 9 ressies. The CM (Diana Jo) was great! I got everything I wanted EXCEPT breakfast at Tusker House and lunch at Sci Fi (Star Wars Weekend).

i had this same problem yesterday-the earliest breakfast time at Tusker House on the day i wanted was pretty late, but i took it. this place must be pretty popular. it works out better though, b/c my DH usually gets sick if he eats breakfast too early. it'll be tough on me and DD, b/c we're used to eating early, but i'm hoping the food will be worth it.

my 90 day will be on EASTER SUNDAY!!!! Don't know if that's good news or bad for calling....If the online is open then,.....mmmm..... can't wait to see reviews of that!

Anyone else on hold for reservations this morning?

Guess not? Well, I'm done, it took 50 minutes total and I got everything that I wanted. Yeah!!!

Of course, it is my choice, and I don't understand what point you are trying to make. We want to eat at specific restaurants, and I stayed on hold so that I could get reservations for those restaurants. The point that most of us are making is that it is absurd we have to be on hold for an hour or two for the privilege of spending our money to eat at Disney World. And, yes, that also is my choice. The other choice would be to eat all of our meals at counter service, and that is not an acceptable choice. Have you tried to get into a restaurant during the summer when you didn't have a reservation?

And its even more absurd that at 10pm at night there are 195 people on hold to make dining reservations!! And as I said before 1/4 of them are not even calling on the correct day! I have heard the recording that comes on when someone calls...it needs to be changed but it's not happening!!!!! So, please continue to complain everytime you call so that maybe someone somewhere will fix it!!

And NO, I have not tried to get into as restaurant during the summer because even though it is free to get in I will not subject myself or my family to that madness!!!

Made my very 1st ADR's tonight!!

Called at 18.20 (UK Time) and took 22mins in all - reckon 10 of those were involved in them actually trying to locate our reservation - whcih she told me was not in the system at all! Got all we wanted

Long delays seem to be down to the time you call from what I can work out

I was very surprised! They told me there was NOTHING available for breakfast on June 9th.

I called back today and got a 9:20 for 6/13 which is a morning EMH. Go figure! (Called at 1pm and was only on hold 3 minutes.)

Don't know if I was just very lucky, or if they're all on the new system now or what, but I just called (3:10 p.m., CST) and went right through the prompts, did the press-1-for-may-26-through whatever, and the phone was picked up immediately -- like not one second on hold, no Disney music, nothing!

And the CM had no issues...I just wanted to change my reservation for May 29 (we decided to try the new AKL restaurant cuz DD wants to see the resort, too.) Whole thing was done start to finish, including dialing time, in 3 minutes. (And they had a table at the time we wanted too! ) Now, just have to hope we like the food (since we didn't like BOMA But we do like Indian food, so we have hopes)

But no wait time at all...How sweet is that

4:00 am on the West Coast, and I am officially on hold, with a big mug of coffee on hand. We'll see how it goes! I'm sure it will all go smoothly, because after all, I'm making reservations on Friday the 13th! Hee hee hee...

OK, didn't get any prompts about making reservations after the new system cutoff the way others seem to be, and after 10 minutes, CM came on line then told me she had to transfer me. So now the real wait begins!

WOW! I called right @ 7:00 was transferred once and got a wonderful CM, Gail, to make my ressies. By 6:26 I was done. YEAH! With all the posts I had read, I was very nervous, but Gail said the system is getting better. She said the key is to call early! O.K. so here is what I got:

6/12-- 50's Prime Time @7:00
6/13--'Ohana @ 5:15
6/14--Boma @7:05
6/15--Le Cellier @7:30 (wanted earlier, but at least I got it )
6/16--Yak & Yeti @ 5:00
6/17--Teppan Edo @ 6:00 (DH B-day celebration dinner)
6/18--California Grill @5:45
6/19--Chef Mickey's @ 5:35 (DS B-Day celebration-already had it booked)

I just tryed to make ressies and was on hold for just over 4 mins to then be told by the CM its not my 90+ day. I said o really! What then is 90+10 if you can't use it. They are only on June 11th.
Oh Well! But then again I didn't have coffee yet.

I made ressies on Feb 28th for May 29-June 4 and got everything I wanted...was off the phone in 33 minutes (called right at 7am)

I wanted to add an emergency one last night (extended our trip)...it took about 20 minutes to make one ressie at 8:30 pm or so

This must have just been a bad day that everyone else called on

(Granted I didn't do Le Cellier or Fantasmic)

4:52 am and still on hold, wow, you were lucky! Congratulations! I called right at 7:00 EST, but had to get transferred, so maybe that's the difference? You just never know how it will go! About to climb on the exercise bike and pedal away while waiting and waiting...

Okay, OregonMom, I will not stop my complaining about getting up at 6:00 (CST)! You go, girl! I don't know if I could be that dedicated! I was done by 6:30! Hopefully you'll be outta there soon. Hang in there!

OK, 1 hour and 40 minutes later, I'm done! It's 5:40 pacific time and I got almost everything I wanted! Thank you to Cynthia, who was SO friendly and helpful on the phone! I'll post my ressies later -- have to get ready for work.

Here's my experience. Called at 7:40 and was talking to an agent by 8:10 and done with ADRs by 8:40. I got mostly what I wanted. I had 4 days for Le Cellier and the only one available was the last day (June 17th). And what is up with Sci Fi? I had three days and they were all full! I expected it for the Friday and Saturday June 12 & 13 because of SWW, but there was nothing available for lunch on Tuesday the 16th either That place must have gotten way more popular. We're skipping it this trip. Anyway, I'm glad to be done and glad I didn't have to wait for 2 hours.

Frustrating morning...
called at 7am. Went through the normal queue....woman comes on and tells me I need to be transferred. 35 mins go by...finally get someone. I start to give her my info, and suddenly the message comes on asking me to do the survey and hangs up on me! I call back. Long wait. Finally get someone who again has to transfer me. She puts me on hold. SOmething seems off, and I realize she transferred me over to the Disney travel agency (the queue information was all about conferences!!). I hang up, I call back. After a wait, I get told I need to be transferred due to system upgrades...and then I finally get someone and then am told Fantasmic package is booked on June 11th.


No pixie dust. And I think I know the whole disney queue music by heart now. sigh.
