I thought I would post my experience from this morning with the new ADR system. I really wanted to beat my head against the wall. Ok, so I call at 8am CST. I was only on hold about 10 minutes. That was great. After giving all my info, the CM had trouble finding my reservation. Just for the record, we are doing a split stay and I have already made my reservations for the first part of our trip. As it turns out, the system had an address that we lived at 7 years ago. We have been to Disney numerous times since. As she was updating our address, phone goes dead. 23 minutes on the phone.
Ok, ok, try again. Second call....again about a 10 minute wait. Start over. Address still wrong. CM assures me that she has updated it. I finally get that Le Cellier ADR that I couldn't get last week (well, not really). When I say got it, I mean it is in the "shopping cart". I put my 2nd ADR in the cart and phone goes dead again. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Total time this call: 21 minutes.
Well, if at first you don't succeed, I call a third time. I was only on hold about 10 min again and here we go again. The address is still wrong. CM #3 (who was really great, by the way) tells me that any address that you have ever used is stored in the system and if it is hit by mistake then that is the one that is used. I ended having to go through Guest Services to get that cleared up. CM #3 checks the shopping cart but, of course, it is empty. We start again. CM #3 takes my number and promises to call me back if we get disconnected. Luckily, we did not. She works to find a Le Cellier for me. It wasn't a great time, but I took it. Ok, so all the ADRs are in the shopping cart and she is waiting to give me by confirmation numbers. Uh-oh, problem, she says. She was having computer problems and we had to START AGAIN. This time, she would only do 2 ADRs at a time before giving me confirmation numbers. Bless her heart, she apologized 10 times. She was great. In the end, I spent 58 minutes on the phone with CM #3.
We have been to Disney more than a dozen times, but this is the first time I have had trouble getting ADRs. I really hope that they work all of these kinks out soon. Before I got disconnected with CM #2, she told me that her computer was working way better today than yesterday.
My advice, be patient and kind to the CM trying to help you. The computer issues are not their fault. CM #3 admitted to me that today was her first day with the new system but she was very helpful and doing her best.
Good luck to everyone. Hopefully each day with see improvements.
