Making ADR, then adding plan

I feel like I should know this. Or that a search would turn up the answer, but it did not. So I need your help.

If I book an ADR for CRT, and then add either Free Dining or a paid for dining plan later, when and how would I get my money back? Do I call when I add dining? Would they credit my credit card then?

There are two main ways to do this.

• Let them know at the podium that you'll be paying with DDP instead of the CC on file. They will then process the refund starting that day (don't know how long it takes). Of course, this means that you have to wait until the actual trip.
• Cancel your current reservation and rebook under the dining plan. Of course, this is risky and you may lose your current timeslot.

In the past, there has been some reports of success in getting a CM to modify the existing reservation, but that is the exception and not the norm. It's worth a shot, but not something I would count on.
