Making a trip extra magical for a friend with terminal illness

My friend just found out there is nothing further that can be done to cure her cancer. She has decided to book a trip to WDW. She has three young daughters, and a husband. I am trying to fill her trip with extra magic. I am a DVC owner, AP holder, and disney visa holder. I have so many perks open to my family, that I am hoping there is something I can pass onto her. Unfortunately, I have already used my DVC points earlier this year or I would have given them to her. Can anyone give suggestions on ways I can help make this a very special trip for my friend?

Write Disney and ask for what adult wish agencies they work with. You can always go with and help her get some of the DVC perks. You could also borrow next year's points and let her have those.

Do you think if I called Disney rather than write I would get any info regarding adult WISH programs? They booked their trip for early July, so I don't have much time. I can't go with her family, and in can't borrow points because I have borrowed all points for a trip with my family later in the summer.

Thank you for helping your friend. I too have terminal cancer and am planning a trip in November.

I believe there are packages that you can have delivered to her room, maybe you could choose one of those packages.

The other thing I can think of is for you to spend some time on the several threads on tips for things people bring to the park. There are a lot of good suggestions and then you could put together a package of some of these items for her trip.

Maybe you and some of her friends can get together and buy a Disney Gift card that she can use while she's there.

Good luck with your planning.

You might help her to get reservations at a favorite place to eat.

My heart goes out to your friend and her family.

What about getting a surprise gift basket for the room? I am using memories by betsy in the fall

How about buying Memory Maker for her and letting her know to get tons of pictures made since they're already paid for? Make sure she knows about photopass photographers and magic shots. I know her family will love having the pictures/memories.

How about offering to turn her WD pix into momento scrapbooks each for her daughters- she will probably be too tired to do this herself and it is a gift that will be treasured long past her life

I love all of these ideas... I don't know if you can afford to do this for her, but it may be an amazing gift to arrange a photo session with Disney Events. It is something the family can have to treasure for years, and to remember their mom & the amazing trip. (totally tearing up as I write this! I'm such a sap!)
