New to this....I am trying to make a disney gift box for my nephew when we go to disney world (it will be his first time). He will almost be 4. any ideas? :confused3

Find out who his favorite characters are and sue that to your advantage. Maybe a new t-shirt for the trip with Disney character on it (try Zazzle.com, and personalize it) Any Disney themed snacks, like fruit snacks, crackers, cookies, maybe an autograph book with a pen,etc..

Hope you have a blast. You will find a ton of information on here, the DIS is the best!

Hi!! Welcome to the DIS!!
If you go to laughingplace.com you can get autograph books (also available on ebay),pressed penny books a guest of honor badge with his name on it, Mouse ears and lots more.
Also Disney World for kids is a great book with lots of pictures and short explainations about each ride (you could read it to him). Also at the Disney store I picked up some of those "compressed" washclothes...they come like small little squares, you put them in water and they open up.
You could get him a Disney toothbrush, jammies - that kind of stuff from Target or Walmart.
Have Fun!!!

PS..a warning this board is very addictive!! :disrocks:

I did something like this for my daughter's first trip. She had an autograph book with pen, a guidebook, a name tag, an Aurora dress, glow sticks (for nights at the park--these were a HIT!!!), a pressed penny book, some Crocs.

I made her wait until we got the to MK to pick out her ears, though. It was the first thing we did!

We made a "gift bag" last year when we took our 4-year-old nephew. We included several small Disney stuffed animals. That made it special because a few days when we returned from the parks, the mousekeepers had them "arranged" really cute on the bed for him! We had Disney sunglasses, a hat, and a child's watch in there that he liked really well too.

I do disney gift bags for all 9 people in my party. All ages. For my 5yr dd, I get her disney coloring books w/matching colors, glow necklaces, disney stickers, disney plush characters, keychains, disney flashcards. Go to the dollars stores and you can find all kinds of disney merchandise before your trip.
Have a magical day!
Pam

Dollar Tree has some good Disney stuff on occasion. I also was just in Walgreens and found Buzz Lightyear, Nemo and Pooh crayons, diarys and notepads for $1 a piece. Some other things I have found for my boys (7 and 4) are tshirts from disneydirect.com, clearance items at the Disney Store. I also heard that Walmart has some toys (paddelballs, etc) for pretty cheap.

Good luck and enjoy your trip.

How did you do this for everyone? I would love to do this for everyone in my family: Mom, Dad, and little sister (16). Thanks!

I just went to the dollar store last night and was amazed at how much disney stuff they had!!! Incredibles frisbees, pooh and princess bouncie balls, disney character sidewalk chalk... so so so much more!! Nemo beach balls and arm floaties! I bought 44 items for summer gift bags! haha, you should check it out there first!

The disneyshopping website has PJ's for under $10, all different characters. There are also Disney versions of the Crayola Color wonder books, which are great for on the plane, or little Disney sticker books (walmart, I think?)

Have fun!

Definitely give him some glow sticks, his parents will thank you!! It really cuts down on the "I want one's" when the CM start bringing out the lights up toys at night. We gave my DD6 some last trip and she never asked for any light ups. It was the best $5.00 every spent at the Dollar Store.

This is my party:
5yr dd-i listed what i get her-colors, stickers, etc.
61 yr. father-in-law mickey ball cap, buzz scarf, plush characters to keep in room
58 yr. mother-in-law-princess scarf, magnets, picture frames, pens, notepads
33 yr. sister-in-law-she's a pooh girl we get her everything pooh.

*our family is a lot of fun. They have so much fun opening up these disney bags. I get a lot of the frames @ Big Lots, Dollar Tree, and Wal-Mart. They love the pens, magnets to put on the fridg. We made everybody t-shirts to wear for Chef Mickey's breakfast and they love those. I will have to post them somehow cause they were a hit!!!
Have fun. I've already bought most all of our goodies for our Jan. trip. I'm a little anxious!!!!!
