Makeup for Rehearsal Dinner, honeymoon, etc.

Ok brides. What did you do for your makeup for the rehearsal dinner, etc.? I'm having a makeup artist airbrush me the day of the wedding, but not sure about everything else. I'm really loving the Nars O stuff, I have everything down to the nail polish for that.

What is something you used for all of your wedding events -- other than the makeup artist -- that you loved? I appreciate all ideas ! My awesome bridesmaid got me a $50 Sephoras gift certificate. Is there anything you all wished you had done, or wish you had gotten makeup wise, or skin care wise for that week ? The Florida weather gets so hot and humid I don't want my makeup to melt. I use Bare Minerals for my foundation.

I love the entire bare essentuals line. It really sticks up to the heat and humidity of FL. I live in Miami and resisted the minerals movement for as long as I could because I loved my MAC but once I tried it, I fell in love. The owner does this demonstration where she puts the BE foundation on her hand and then soaks her hand in a bowl of warm water. The makeup doesn't run off, and I have to say that it's true.

Actually, true test today... the AC at my job (teacher) is out and I have been "glowing" all day, as long as I don't wipe my face and just blot the makeup doesn't come off. That's a miracle!

Thanks for the reply ! I'm so glad to hear that Bare Minerals does stand up to the heat and humidity. I actually have used it for about 4 years, then switched to Bobbi Brown but didn't like the coverage, and now I'm back to Bare Minerals. I might get some more Clear Radiance then or something like that.

I had my first Couch to 5k walk/run tonight, and my makeup was all still on, even though I was sweating !! I guess I'll stick to BE then ... have you gotten any of her lipstick/gloss trios? If you have, what do you think? Thanks !

I love my Stila glosses so I don't veer from them. But my mom uses the BE lip plumping ones, I forget what they're called but they have women's names for colors. I don't like the tingling but she loves them.

I use Classified Cosmetics spray on foundation. I believe you can only get it online, but it works AWESOME and there is a handy tool on the website that allows you to put in what foundation you normally use and they will automatically pick the matching color in their line for you. THEN, I use Cover FX powder (which you can get at Sephora), just to kind of smooth everything out. Both work really well, the coverage is amazing. I've used this while vacationing in Florida humidity, and they stay on no matter what. I always get compliments on how clear my skin looks.

This is the best stuff available-it's called lok finish spray by skindinavia it's a makeup setting spray (no scent and hypoallergenic!) It used to be pretty expensive but I've had my bottle since 2006. It will hold your makeup for something like 24 hours even in this Florida weather! I bought mine at ULTA definately worth every penny
