Make A Wish Question

An 8 year old boy in our family small group at church has been approved for a Make A Wish trip. They are still working out the details of when, but know that he and his dad will be staying at the Contemporary due to his love of trains/monorails.

Our small group would like to get them a gift when the time comes for their trip. We were thinking about pre-ordering the Photopass CD so they can take as many pictures together as possible. Is this something that would already be included in their package?

Also, any ideas of things the other children in our family group could send with him as a special treat? Thanks!

Even though, the family is staying at the Contemporary, there is a possibility that the trip might be arranged through GKTW. If that is the case, then their photopass CD will be included. Otherwise, I'm not sure.

Ideas for the other children, are maybe they could make him an autograph book or make a list of definite must-sees. Plan and arrange a Pre-trip party for the family.

We stayed at the Grand Floridian as part of DD's wish but it was completely run through GKTW. Photopass was included. Autograph book is a great idea. DD's wish included a gift certificate for the bippity boppity boutique... would he enjoy being done up at the Pirate's League? Cool tshirts for the family may be nice. They could also get him activities for the plane ride.

Some places sell Disney gift cards ( our Walgreens does). Maybe you could get him something like that and he could use it get things from the gift shops. Also you can order things that you would find in the parks ( ear hats, autograph books, ect) from disneystore.com. If you have enough time you could order him some things and make him a gift bag of goodies he will " need" at the parks.

give kids the world trips, even if not staying at villas will get they cd free. if they are having a rental car, i would look at gas cards. that was our biggest expense on our trip.we also had tickets for universal and sea world. second idea would be gift cards for any park meals planned. this what we used for our trip even though we stay at give kids.

Also think if you are getting the gift for the boy or for the family. If for the family, then something like a gas card might be great (if they are renting a car). If just for the boy, then a gas card wouldn't make much impact.
