Make A Wish ideas needed

That is our backup request. We think something with water is the first. I just called one of his assigned volunteers to ask about a "swim spa" that I saw granted on the MAW site you pointed me towards.

No, Make A Wish does all kinds of things. My son (14) is severely autistic (although that is not qualified him) so communication is next to impossible with him other than eat, drink & nite nite.

Also, no trips at all. He is too unpredictable to do a trip that might be overwhelming.

That's cool. I just always associated them with WISH trips.

I think the room makeover would also be a cool idea. Maybe a water bed and decorating with an aquatic theme like Eeyores Butterfly suggested would be cool. It could also be used year round where an outdoor pool in PA probably can't.

Another one that is maybe a shot in the dark: On the website under the Imagination section they had one girl who wished to be in a cartoon. MAW contacted Disney and they made her own character in Dave the Barbarian and allowed her to do a voice over. I know that you said your son is nonverbal, but I'm wondering if there is anyway he could be in his own Barney episode that he would then be able to watch whenever he wanted? Do they even make Barney any more? That might be another one, although it may be a little more complicated than you are looking for.

Hmmm...I think they still make Barney episodes, even still he only watches the old ones late 80's - early 90's
I told them a hot tub would probably be the best choice, so they started the paperwork to get the dr.'s ok for a water wish (they said all water wishes need an approval).
