Morning all!! Things went great last night!! First, my kids, all of them, were off the wall excited!! To the point that I was ready to kill them or disown them!! LOL!!!

The wish grantors arrived bearing gifts for Brian!! They chose to bring him a few action figures!! Brian LOVES action figures and one the ones they brought, the white ninja from GI Joe, was his halloween costume this year!!! Needless to say HUGE hit!

They asked Brian for his wish....he told them "I wish to go on a Disney Cruise"!! They were so great, they asked me for dates and said that is a pretty easy wish to grant and they just need medical approval from his doctor and then we will get some final plans!!! I mentioned that I really did not want the kids to miss school and they said that Easter Vacation should be very do-able!! I'm soo excited for him and I'm so starting my diet (just to be safe!!! )

Brian's siblings were very helpful and when the wish grantors arrived they were well behaved (Thank God!!) Catherine -8, was more than willing to answer every question for Brian, while he enjoyed playing with his new toys!!

I will have to get started on the pre-trip report as well as daily visits to the gym!!!

Not to FURTHER your addiction... (would I do that?!?!? nah. )

But there is a whole WISH section of the DIS - not related to Wish Trips - that is all about being Inspired to Stay Healthy (We're Inspired to Stay Healthy)...toward the bottom of the first screen.

And they have a LOT of fun ideas, threads, and groups of very nice people that will keep you motivated and held accountable - if you are interested!

I have lost 5 pounds already (2 weeks into this) - so maybe we can do that on here, too.

How exciting! We had a hard time choosing between WDW and Disney cruise. It will be fun to read about yours!
And I'm right there in that boat with you (not the cruise ship, the "diet" boat). DH and I had been talking about getting an elliptical machine anyway. It just worked out to be good timing, five months out from our trip. We'll see how much we can lose!

Heeeeeyyyyyy! I've been MIA (busy, busy, busy) and had hoped to come on tonight to update all my recent plannings (YUP, I found stuff to do) BUT.......YIKES.....instead I simply need some reassurance from the old wise woman (ok, maybe not so old) maroo. Help Help I LOST OUR MVMCP TICKETS

(that's all six of us crying.......heck here's one more for the dog - I'd add one for the bird but he kicked the bucket yesterday)

Now, I THINK I'm ok because I was smart enough to write down the confirmation numbers (didn't go to school for 20 yrs for nothin') I called but they said they just sell the tickets and I'd have to call and talk to someone tomorrow.

Hooray! I'm glad it went so well for you last night. It sounds like Brian had a blast I am so with you on the diet thing, I need to do the same. Piper is getting a Wii and balance board from my mom for Christmas and I keep telling myself I'll use that once we have it, but I need to cut back on consumption again too.. I'll do really well for a while and then it goes out the window! Anyway..looking forward to your pre-trip!

Okay, I'm not Maroo..but I would guess they prob get at least 10!! lost ticket phone calls a day, if not more. You have your confirmation numbers, so I would bet they will just re-issue your tix. I could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time..lol..but I bet I'm right.

I hope you get it all sorted out, It will be fine. I planned to diet and exercise leading up to our trip too, but well it didnt work out so I am disapointed in myself but Ill get it together anyways.

I will still be trying because my goal is also going to be my New Years Resolution.

Well...it wasn't Lauren. It was her little brother. They are all so special to me. Truly like family!

He got into some serious trouble last night when I was babysitting him. So I got dragged into a major emotional blah. I think ALL of us cried before the night was over and I didn't get home until after midnight and am driving to Destin as soon as I get to leave work.

So...I didn't have time to DIS. I actually was helping Lauren with her STUPID Science Fair project before the offense was realized. I think disabled students that can't possibly put up a science project should be exempt. Let her write a paper or something. Especially when said student wants to be a counselor when she grows up.

Thanks Ana! I have a tip as well. At Target today I noticed a TON of Disney stuff in the dollar section at the front of the store. There was Princess stuff of course and I also remember Cars. Not sure what else. Lots of jewelry, lip gloss, pens and pencils, notebooks, stickers, etc. Also, in that same section I saw a large cut-out word (maybe 4 inches tall) with sparkles all over it that said "WISH". I guess it was a Cmas decoration. I only saw one and it was scratched up, so I didn't get it, but I might check again next time I go. I think it would be cute to use on our trip countdown.

Now can anyone help me with this question....We have not received our dates for our cruise (or the actual permission that it will be granted) but I am a planner so I am checking out shore excusions and fun stuff. Not booking just looking!! Here is the question.....Do we have to use the disney transportation system to get to the port or can we use a limo or rental car. I=When we cruise last year we used a private limo company and we were able to grab snacks, soda, water, beer at the store before we got to the ship. I'm not sure if you are able to differ from the "WISH" itinery? Also can you add days before or after your trip??

I am not sure the answers to your questions. So sorry! I am cruise clueless!

But I think the adding of days depends on your chapters policy...I don't see how it would be an issue and seems like you could spend a few days in Disney before the cruise? But depends on your wish granting organization and state.
