Hey all, sounds like there are lots of exciting trips coming up.

Update on our end is, Emma's tumor grew and we are back in Chemo, MRI was on Monday and they started on Tuesday..we will be doing 52 weeks of Vinblastine..so I am SO glad we had our wish trip earlier this summer...it gave us some really good memories.

Well, I still haven't managed to start a pre-trip report. Not because I'm lazy...no, no, that couldn't be it. I do have the excuse that we've been moving, which is never fun under any circumstances, let alone with two little ones. But we are mostly moved in and have internet again, so....

We got a call from MAW triple checking that the dates were still good before they book our flights. So we should have them soon. Unfortunately, they also said that they couldn't get us a limo to the airport or a rental car big enough to accommodate my parents and brother too. But it's been looking like they won't be able to afford to go with us anyway, so it might not matter in the long run.

A couple of questions:

I wasn't able to put an avatar on yet. Do I need 10 posts for that too?

I have something really cool I would like to give to a little girl going on a Wish trip, but I'm not sure how to go about it. Should I try to find the Big Give people? Or should I just post it on here?

Have you signed up on the Big Give board? You can do that, then it can be a surprise for whoever you give it to. And, we aren't too hard to find, just click on the Cindy Mice picture in my siggy.

I can't wait til your move is finished and you get to start on your PTR. Do you have a preference for dates? Sorry to hear about yoru DB and parents not being able to join you on the trip

Hi all! I'm Suzanne, momma to Nikolas (Boo-5) our Wish child and Mikayla (Gracie-13). Nikolas has a pretty long story for a 5yr old so I'll give the shorter version here.
Boo was born at 30wks with congenital hydrocephalus and multiple brain malformations as a result. He also has epilepsy, asthma, cerebral palsy and more. He's non-verbal and completely dependant on others for all care. He's also the most wonderful little man with the most contaigous smile and laughter you'll ever meet!
I wasn't going to ask for a wish for him because I figured Make-A-Wish didn't do them for non-verbal kids with all his challenges. Then a neighbor who's child just had one (he was also in Boo's preschool class last year) told me to do it anyway-he deserved it. Well I agreed, after all the last several places we've gone had NOTHING he was able or allowed to do.
I know he can do Disney 'cause we went for his sister's 9th birthday (his 1st). Now he's old enough to enjoy it and we're just waiting for out travel dates.

Welcome to the board!! I too have a Mikaela and she sounds a lot like your son. Although she was born at term, she suffers from epilepsy, CP and is also non verbal.

You'll learn so much from this board!!!

Can Sunny (3 yrs old) ride Kali River Rapids in AK? She is the height of an average 3 year old but IDK exactly how tall... And she'll grow by December cuz she'll turn 4.

You will need to get her to stand at some point (or lay down) and measure her height...it all goes by inches.

There is a ride calculator somewhere once you figure out how many inches tall she is that will tell you all the rides she can't ride (hopefully it will be a very short list!)
