We have have planned for years to put a brick walk in and it looks like it is finally time..
I am SO looking forward to hours of hard labor
This is from the original landscape architect's plan (It's a nifty excuse to try publishing web drawings from autocad!!)
OH sure just call me the Bob Villa of the DIS...
Oh wait.. Bob doesn't actually DO anything....
Maybe the Roger Cook.. no he looks like he knows what he is doing..
When you are done, because it will appear that you will know what you are doing by the time you are done, can you please come to my house and help me get mine started...it's just gonna be a small one......

Love the plan, looking forward to seeing this in progress.
Last years deck in creation has turned into this years brick walkway. What kind of brick are you using? Will it be straight or are you going to create a pattern with the brick?
I'm looking for pavers in the red range...
I scored BIG time at the brickyard yesterday... I do need 2 steps and brick steps usually take a long time to build and don't hold up really well. It's much easier and nicer to use granite steps but they are expensive! Around here they run 30 dollars a foot. They had 2 pieces that I can get 4.5 feet out of after cutting off a chipped end and I bought them both for 100!!!!!!
Nice find on the steps. I used a Boston Colonial Red for my walks. I did find out something very important. Buy all the bricks you need from the same lot # if you can. I have done this project over 2 years plus now and I am tieing in the walks... The bricks bought at the same store but over 2 years are slightly different in color. I don't really care but you can see it...
