Hypothetically speaking, lets say there was a possible job opportunity and the offices were located in Maitland....where would be a reasonable place to live? Affordable, newer housing...new construction? Great schools?

Congested. I swear the traffic there is worse than anything New Jersey or Boston can throw at you.

Generally good schools--try Winter SPrings for an area with good schools that's still affordable--there's still plenty of new or newer construction, some other areas are wicked expensive, but the market is somftening so there are some deals to be had.

Caution on your taxes--what a current owner is paying is not an indication of what you will pay based on the way property taxes work here in Florida.

You really need to take a look at the area during ruch hour to get the real picture.

We've moved so much that I'm really a big picture person. Seems every few years I end of researching new areas, housing market, etc etc. I need to be comfortable with the community. Even if the job is stellar, I won't make a move unless I know we can have the lifestyle we want.
