Maintenance Fee Bill

We got ours, too, today. It actually was LESS than we thought it would be because of some tax adjustment? Anyone else? We bought AKV at the end of '07-

We have not recieved our bill yet however, the member website says they will deduct the first payment on January 15th then on the first of the month for the remainder of the year.

BLT dues will not be due until the the later of the occupancy date of your unit or the first day of your UY.

I bet we won't get ours until way after the due date. I just received some mailings from DVC about being able to book II up until 12/31/08 - today! I'm just going to check on-line after the 15th as our dues are supposed to be charged to my CC automatically.

Yes I received mine today as well for AKV with an adjustment. This is probably because when they send out the bills DVC has not received the tax bill from the county yet so they guesstimate the tax costs. Evidently last year they over estimated and are refunding that difference by reducing this years dues.

Same here. We have a lot of other annual bills that come due in January. So I switched to the monthly payment option. They don't charge anything extra for the option of spreading the payments out over the year. You can even pay monthly for the first month or two and then pay off the balance with a credit card in Feb or March.

That happens every year. A couple of years they underestimated the property tax and the difference had to be paid in January even if you were on monthly payments (but when they overestimate, the credit is spread over the entire year. ).

Got mine today. Postmarked 12/31.

Got mine yesterday (postmarked 12/30). When I checked yesterday, the bill was already posted in the "Annual Dues" section of the DVC members' website for those who may not have received their's yet. If you look at it before the actual bill comes in the mail, you can at least prepare yourselves for the shock. I think I agree with a previous poster who felt the total was a little less than originally expected, but not by much!
