Hello everybody !!

Just wanna know if Main Street opens at the same time of the rest of Magic Kingdom or if it opens a bit earlier... And if so, how long earlier ?

The whole park opens after their opening celebration. I don't believe you can tour main street before that. An exception might be if you have priority seating in the park. Not sure though.

You are correct Scoolover. MK has an opening ceremony with the characters. Unless you have a morning ADR you will not be allowed in the park prior to the opening. If the park opens at 9am they will let you through the turnstiles at about 8:30 but they will not let you through the tunnels under the train station. You will be held in the front of the park. The opening ceremony starts at about 8:50am... as soon as it is over and Mickey has offically opened the park you will be allowed onto Main Street.

That's correct.

If you have an ADR (that's what they call priority seating now) at Crystal Palace or CRT, you will be allowed to "walk through" Main Street before of after eating, but none the shops won't be open until right-at the scheduled opeing time (EMH or "regular").

Well, it's not good for my business because I will have to pick up "personal translator units" at the Guests Relations at opening and we won't be among the first to be on line at Space Mountain... :guilty:

Thierry,
You could always send one of the people in your group ahead w/all your tickets to get fastpasses for SM.

Here's a very simple solution.
Go to Space Mountain FIRST, ride it, then go get the translators.
Nothing in Space Mountain requires a translation.

BYW, Guest Relations also have "windows" OUTSIDE the gates of all the parks.
Don't know if they offer the translators there or not.

i take it a lot of people are waiting for the gates to open. this this something that is worth watching?

Well, WE like it.

But the REAL reason to be there is, once the ropes DROP, the guests who are there "scatter" across the park (if its EMH, they still can choose to go to either Tomorrowland or Fantasyland first) and the ride lines are virtually "empty" for quite a while during these early times.

Consequently, you can get more "accomplished" in the first 2-3 hours than at any other time... and you can get more done specifically in the first HALF-HOUR.
