Main Street Vehicles?

I was pouring over park maps (sent to me by a wonderful DISer!) and noticed the Magic Kingdom has Main Street Vehicles, where you can "ride a horse drawn trolley or other vintage vehicles."

Can anyone give me more information? Have you done this? What are the "other" vintage vehicles? Anyone know prices?

I don't remember seeing (or paying attention) to this during my last trip (98)

Any help is appreciated!!

I've seen the horse drawn trolley. It's not often you get to say this word with Disney, but it's FREE! It goes in a loop up and down Main Street. Get on at one end, hop off at the other end. I think there are also a couple of old-fashioned cars that you can catch a ride in too.

I think they only run when the crowds are not too bad. We rode the fire truck several times when DS was little and it was fun to ride down main street. It's quicker to just walk but it's neat to do at least once.

on a antique double decker bus on the top section and there are a lot of stuff on the second story of the building that you don't notice when you are at ground level

All the vehicles are free of charge. There is the horse drawn trolley, the fire truck, a jitney and the Omni Bus (double decker bus). They usually run them in the morning (until about 11 or 12). The trolley is run by the crew from the Tri-Circle D Ranch at Fort Wilderness (since they are the horse handlers) and is usually there every morning (unless they are working on the trolley tracks or some other issue arises). As for the vehicles though they are run by Main Street operations (which also includes the steam trains and turnstiles). In the event of an open shift, short staffing or a call in the vehicle drivers are the first to be pulled so the possibility is there that they might not be running, but generally there is at least one of them out in the morning. They also "sometimes" bring one out after flag retreat (5pm) for an hour or so. Just really depends on the crowds along main street in the evening...

COOL. I HAVE NEVER NOTICED THEM BEFORE. WILL KEEP OUR EYES OPEN NEXT TRIP FOR THEM. DS(3) WOULD LOVE TO RIDE THE BUS OR FIRETRUCK

THANK YOU
