Remember those big, delicious, warm frosted cinnamon rolls that used to be at the bakery on Main Street? Where can I find them now? Last time I was at MK, The Main Street Bakery had turned into Starbucks!

Yep, and a very sore point with me - always drooled on the way into MK in the morning waiting for our 'fix' of yummy cinnamon roll. The next best we have come up with is at Gaston's Tavern in Fantasyland expansion. Still miss the ambiance of the old bakery though! :upsidedow

Good luck!! pixiedust:

The loss of the Main Street Bakery is a shame...they could have served Starbucks coffee without changing the whole thing.

I miss all the pastries, but especially the French Toast Loaf.

Such a shame. I walked out of the bakery.

The French Toast Loaf was gone long before the change to serve Starbuck's

i apologize for being late to the party, but when did they change this to a Starbucks?!

and no, i am not crying, i just got some pixie dust in my eyes... thats all.

Starbucks opened last fall.

Cinnamon rolls are available at Gaston's Tavern, but they are not exactly the same (they use maple icing).

Yeah, I think the cinnamon rolls at Gaston's are pre-made.

It seems that most goods are pre-made off-site and brought in. It broke my heart when Dunkin Donuts started doing this a few years back..

Anyway.. it's hard to find a place that makes fresh baked goods anymore. I'm not sure if Boardwalk Bakery does it, but it's the next best spot to find a good breakfast pastry.

The Gaston's version isn't too bad.. If you go in the morning, you have the best chance of getting a fresh one. I like to eat one on Christmas morning with a nice coffee.

It mustve been just after I left last year, because I do not remember seeing a Starbucks there:confused3

Not sure how I feel about this LOL

France has a great bakery.

You might also be able to include the fresh beignets at PORFQ.

As much as I love Starbucks, I'm very sad that I will not be able to experience the Main Street cinnamon buns. The ones at Gaston's Tavern are bleeeechh.

I'm a pretty big fan of the big cinnamon roll over at the Kusafiri Bakery in AK. Not sure how it stacks up against Gaston's, but there were no complaints in our group over it.

I thought someone said in a thread on here that while it is now Starbucks, they will still continue to carry many of the beloved baked goods that Main Street Bakery used to have?

The Main Street Starbucks has baked goods, but they are the baked goods you can get at Starbucks locations anywhere.

That's disappointing. I could have sworn I read it on this forum that wouldn't be the case. That it wasn't supposed to be just an ordinary Starbucks.

The MSB Starbucks opened in June 2013, the Epcot Fountainview Starbucks opened in September 2013.

We actually went in yesterday and I do recall it being a Starbucks inside. I was thinking of something completely different.

That coffee from Starbucks came in handy yesterday while it was a very breezy 55 degrees

Disney never said that. They said they would carry "some" Disney items. They do...they carry cookies and cake pops. Everything else is Starbucks issue.

I can see it getting blown out of proportion on the boards into "many of the beloved baked goods" but that was never what Disney said.
