The problem last night was that they had not intended to open the bypass. When it is not in use by guests, they potentially have equipment and supplies passing through there. They had to radio out to the various depts. that the bypass would be opening. It took several minutes for them to get confirmation, and the crowds became thicker and more hostile. The CM's did their best to handle the situation, and I think that guest behavior is what really made things worse. I live two miles from MK and in all the times I have been there, I've never seen a worse scenario than last night. Maybe it is more of a crowd flow issue than the overall crowd level of the park, although I was genuinely surprised how busy it was. This could have been an isolated situation, but I would feel more comfortable if there was another way out of the park.
