Hi -

We are spending 5 days at WL and then doing the DCL Magic Christmas cruise. I plan on mailing a box to myself at the WL with Christmas Decorations, snacks, etc. BUT, wondered if anyone had recently mailed or UPS'd items home AFTER a park visit.

I did do a search but could only find threads on mailing to WDW instead of WDW to home. Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences.

we do this frequently when our purchases exceed available luggage space. There's a UPS store by the new Publix store which is close to the premium outlet mall and Dixie Stampede. There's another on on 535, past the Crossroads. Disney will arrange shipping for purchases from their stores but we find it easer, and probably cheaper and faster, to use the UPS store

I mailed decs home after vacation, but did it from the Swan. It was quite pricey, compared to what I spent for the first leg of the trip! It was also very convenient, as all I had to do was box it up and they took care of the rest. I didn't know about the UPS near Publix. I would guess that is the best option, if you have transportation.

We were thinking of shipping our extra purchases home and the lady in the gift shop at POR told us they would ship them UPS for $15.00 for purchases up to like $7000.00. I would have jumped on that, but they wouldn't ship to Canada. It's worth checking it out, especially if you don't have a car to go to Publix.

Hi
was wondering...how do I lists the dates that I we have spent at WDW beneath my countdown clock?
I can't figure out how to do it....thanks!

I did mine by going to the "user cp" link and then to edit profile. In the signature area I scrolled down to the bottom, after all of the other "link" stuff, hit enter one time and then just typed in the info. Hope this helps!

We shipped a big box of stuff home from the UPS store this past August. We also were going on the cruise after our resort stay and we didn't want to shlep all of our land purchases onto the ship.

I had some breakables. It was very well packed and arrived in perfect condition. All I did was call my neighbor and ask that she keep an eye out for it. I found it in my foyer when I got back home. :D

Hi!

Please post detailed directions to the UPS store.

Do you buy your own box for the souvs at the UPS store or bring your own box.

What are the hours of the UPS store.

Thanks in advance for the info.l

Last year I mailed home all our dirty clothes so that I would have room for all the souvies that I bought. I was at the ASMU and went to the gift shop and got a box from them. It was a used box they received their merchandise in. (Free) The box was about 23 inches tall by about 15 inches wide. And I stuffed it with clothes and shoes. I took it down to the counter(GS) and they weighed it, taped it and sent it. Total cost 20.00 ups. Oh and I live in Buffalo, NY. The package arived in 4 days and all was well. In mho not that costly compared to dragging all that stuff on the plane.

Hi there,

If you're planning on shipping your souviners home that you buy at WDW, just have the stores do it for you.

2 years ago, we bought the big WDW train set. Much to big to carry on. The store at CR shipped it for us. It was so easy. When you have it shipped out of state, you don't have to pay sales tax.

We paid about $4 for the shipping, after you take away the sales tax.

Plus, WDW is responsible for any breakage, etc. since they do the packing.

The little brown truck arrived about 2 weeks after we got home. We weren't in a hurry, so we just took the "standard" shipping.
