My dd's birthday is while at WDW. We will be staying at the Contemporary, and my aunt wants to mail a bday card, maybe even small pkg, to the hotel. Can this be done? I don't know the room number (and will be staying in a convention block, if that matters)

What all info would be needed? Name and hotel address (which is??)

Thanks so much!

You can find all the addresses of all the resorts at allears.

I don't see why she can't mail your daughter a card. I would be sure she mailed it as early as psosible knowing the US Post Office.

This can certainly be done, just give it a bit extra time as a previous poster advised. We address our things to the the person who is on the reservation and then "c/o The Contemporary". When you check-in, just let the CM assisting you know that you are expecting a letter, package, etc.

Also, if your daughter has a favorite character, call the resort directly about 7 to 10 days before her birthday and let them now. They will mark it on your reservation and you will "probably" be suprised with a bit of pixie dust! (Usually a card from the character and a signed photo, along with a few balloons will appear in your room.)

Have a great trip!

I do believe it is also recommended to put the check in date on the item. Helps to give the hotel a reference point. Beware, if you are in a conference block you may be charged a "handling fee" if the package gets handled by the conference concierge instead of the normal bell services.

Make sure you put the name the reservation is under on the card/package. Label it as such. Disney makes reservations under one name. Yes, they can do a global search to find other names, but it is a pain for them. It is much easier for them and increases the chances that the package will be delivered correctly if you put the reservation name on the package. Another piece of information that helps is the city/state of the reservation person. I know it seems strange, but very often there are more than one person with the same name at the resort. If you put down the city/state of the person, that helps the CM identify the correct individual.

I had this happen just the other day. I delivered a basket to a person staying at one of the All Star resorts. I received a call later from the resort staff. They had two people with that name and did not know who to deliver it to. I always request the reservation name, but people often give me the name of another person in the same party. It really makes things much more difficult.
