In the past we have mailed DS's diapers and wipes and "special floating b-suit" down to our hotel beofre our stay so it is there when we arrive. Has anyone else done this. We have rented a van but there are going to be 5 people (one car seat), a wheelchair, a stroller(we need it in the airport) suitcases, 2 sizes of diapers wipes etc and some small Christmas presents. I don't see how this is going to work. I wanted to mail down 2 boxes containing the diapers, wipes, sun shield for the wheelchair and some clothing but we will already have some baby equipment from one of the baby rental places waiting for us in the luggage room. We will be staying at the Dolphin. Has anyone else ever done this. When we mailed the box last time it was only one small box now I am looking at 2 med-large ones. I can buy DDs diapers in Florida but not DS as they are "teen" sizes and we special order them. The bags they come in a quite large. We went to BOSTON for Thanksgiving and we packed for 4 days and we were so squished in the van I can't imagine how this can possible work.

I used the post office and it took 6 days from Maine to the asmu resort. This was my first time sending a box down and it worked out good. It cost around $18.00 for 24lbs. but it was well worth it for us. I put c/o my name and the date I was checking in under the resort name.

When we went to the WL on September 22, 2001, we were afraid that with heightened airport security we'd have a hard time taking our camera and camcorder as carry-ons on our flight. We simply mailed a package with them to the WL ahead of time via Federal Express. (I called the WL, explained to the CM what I wanted to do, got the mailing address, and used "c/o" our name on the package. Also put the same info inside the box just in case something happened to the outer wrapping.) The timing was perfect.

On my last trip, I bought too many souvenirs (is there such a thing?) and used UPS to ship them home. I opted for the cheapest rate/slowest delivery and everything worked out fine. Sure beats lugging stuff in and out of airports.

I sent two big boxes to the Swan last year and they got there in about a week. I called ahead to make sure they would hold them and they just said to put my name and date of arrival on the box. It contained presents and a tree and decorations. At the end of our trip, I packed it all up and they came to the room and took it to be delivered back home! Easy and worth it.
