sorry if this is a repeat, i tried searching but came up empty. What is the best way to mail 12 x 12 paper/layouts?

:thanks:

I recieved 12 x 12 paper in the large priority mail box. It was left flat and taped up at the ends instead of being popped open. Hope that makes sense.

If you have a box that you purchased an album in you could use that...if not you might try asking at your local craft store if they have any "extra" boxes in storage they'd be willing to part with. Otherwise you can buy the 12X12 plastic page storage units at the dollar store sometimes and those have worked well for me with my scrapbooking groups and parties w/having to transport pages.

If you don't need to be fancy about the appearance, try a pizza box. (Unused of course!) I've done it in a pinch...just ask for a box. A medium box from our local place works for me.

The extra large flat rate priority box will fit them, but at $14 it's got to have lots of stuff inside to make it worth it.

There is also a priority box, not flat rate, 2APCON-07-C-0006 that has inside measurements of 12-15/16 x 3 x 15-1/4 that will hold the 12x12 in a 2 gallon baggie just fine. I used that box to send all my pages to 123SA in MK page swap. It cost less than $9 and was full.

You can get them at the post office or order them on-line.

I've used the Standard Flat Rate box to mail pages for page swaps. They go in at a slight diagonal, but with some extra packing materials in the empty corners.

If you mail a lot of pages/albums, pizza boxes can be ordered in bulk from U-Line industries. When I bought mine, they weren't all that expensive. (A 12 x12 album will not fit in a 12x12 box, but pages will.
