I received a card in the mail from a company in Norwalk, CT, called "Willabee & Ward". They are offering embroidered cloth Disney patches in a series. Each one comes mounted on a 9" x 12" "Collector Panel" which gives information about the character.
I tracked them down and asked a few questions.
The price for each is "only" $ 16.95 plus $ 1.95 P&H for a total cost each of $ 18.90. They will be shipped two a month for the next 32 months. Considering the first one will only be $ 4.95, this means that if you buy all 65 you will pay only $ 1,214.55 (plus applicable sales tax).
You cannot pick and choose. Once you have started receiving them, you can cancel at any time but cannot get refunds for any shipments received.
There is a bonus; after the third shipment they will send you a FREE Collector Album.
Also, they said this offer (for the first one at $ 4.95) is "by special invitation only". They also said that "These Disney patches are too valuable to extend this unique opportunity to everyone". It would be interesting to figure out what Disney source(s) provided them the name and address.
Just thought people might be interested.
