Maid Service at Unreasonably Early Hour?

Perhaps one of the best tips I've found for dealing with this problem is also the simplest--call housekeeping, not front desk, and request late maid service. That's that little button on the phone that says "Housekeeping". Honestly, in all my years of traveling, I just never thought to do so. It worked on a recent trip (but not at Disney WL, they just kept on knocking on the door whatever we did!).
