I thought I would ask if anyone else had problems with mags for less, I ordered in July and have not recieved any magazines, my sister ordered as well, and never recieved. The number I have, the mail box is full. We have emailed them without response many times. I guess I fell for the line, too good to be true

I am so sorry to hear this. :( The same thing happened to me earlier this year after ordering People Magazine from a vendor on eBay (who at THAT time had excellent feedback). I waited the how ever many weeks that they tell you to wait for the first issue to arrive. After that time came and went, I checked the status with People and they told me that they did not have any subscription in their system for us.

I checked at eBay and the vendor now had lots of BAD feedback and was no longer registered at eBay.

I couldn't get PayPal to help because it was past the amount of time that they will help.

$60 down the drain. :(

Perhaps people just aren't meant to get real deep discounts on magazines.

Having the same problem with netmagazines.com. I've received an email back saying they're checking into my concern and will let me know within 5 days. Regardless of the outcome, I won't use this company again. Good luck to you!

Only once have I been scammed for a magazine subscription I purchased on ebay.

I bought a 2 year subscription for Card Maker magazine. I paid $16.95 in April.
The seller is discountmagazinedirect0 . He's from Auburn, MA.
This seller is now banned with over 120 negatives since I ordered.

I contacted paypal, but was told too bad, and if I did a chargeback my account would be banned.

All the other times I've ordered from ebay have gone smoothly, even though most of the people I ordered from are no longer registered.

DId you use a credit card for the paypal transaction? Your credit company should still be able to help. I've had to get a transaction reversed for a similar situation (made full payment for a service to be completed in 8 weeks, so it took about three times that to be sure it was really late and give the vendor a few times to fix the issue). My credit card company had no trouble with how old the charge was.

I used my checking account. :( I think that I have changed my Paypal things since then, but I surely learned my lesson with that...

I just checked to see who I ordered from last month. It was snappymags.com, who also does business as maghouse.com. It has only been 4 weeks but I am nervous because I can't confirm my order on their website and any emails I try to send to them bounce back. At least it's only $4.99. But I did use a credit card and I'm waiting a couple more weeks before I make a claim.

Here is my issue, the idea that you lost 4.99, I lost 3.00, others have lost 12.00, the point is everyone says oh its just 4.00, but between all of us, it adds up to a ton of money. I will try to fight as best I can for my 3.00. I know I won't ever use a magazine website again.
Thanks
Tina

I wouldn't give up yet. I have used them for years and they can be really, really slow about delivering, but I have always gotten my magazines. I ordered several for Christmas last year and it was may before they started. While it was embarrassing, they did finally come.

I bought some magazines in February, 2005 from Mags for Less - all came with no problem.

I ordered some free mags from Mags for Less this past year, they didn't (one of the only times I've ordered free magazines that didn't come). But at least I just wasted a few minutes, not any money.

I ordered from the one company that had the OK magazine for $2.98 per year a week or so back. If I don't get it, then I'll file a complaint with the CC company. I don't use debit cards for magazines - I try to only deal with companies that seem to have no real complaints, but you can never be sure with anyone.

Funny you should post this because I just sent magsforless a second email this morning asking about my two subscriptions I ordered back in July. The last email I received from them a couple of months ago said I would receive my first magazine between mid-Sep and mid-Oct and here I am going into the second week of November and still no magazines.

I told them if they can't fulfill my subscription almost 4 months after placing the order then cancel my order and refund my cc.

I ordered my DS some mags from Magsforless.com for Christmas last year. They were very slow in shipping the 1st one, but he did eventually get them. They've even been sending one mag I didn't order, but was close in name to one I did. :confused3 I won't be ordering any more, but that's because my DS just doesn't take the time to read them. :sad2: I hope everything works out for you. :wizard:

Tina,
I couldn't agree with your more, that's why I'm glad I have the option of making the claim on my credit card. I just meant that I would be more concerned about it if I was possibly out $30 or $50.

Does anyone know how long after you are billed for something that you can make a claim on it? I'm sure there's a time limitation, but with something like this, it can legitimately take 6-8 weeks for a subscription to start.

I guess it's good to know that my magazine still may be in my mailbox at some point. I appreciate the responses. I still will file a complaint. I am waiting for the cc to send my dispute papers.

I've had a problem with Allzines. I ordered a birthday gift for a friend in June and she still has not received anything. They responded to my first email with a "we'll look into it" and nothing else. So embarrassing that it was a gift. and I'm out $15.
