Yea, the Netflix logo is not on this practicular BuRay player, I am wireless and access Vudu, but it has no way I can find to access Netflix. I do have a netflix subscription and run it through my Wii, but would like to run it through this instead.

If you still have the ad from black friday, it DOES say that it will access Netflix !! That is what made me so mad!!! I even brought the ad into the store and they said that they were sorry. They gave me my $ back (in cash), but said I would have to re-purchase the 5130 at full price if I wanted to stream netflix. Contacting walmart.com's customer service did not help either. I got an email with the new link to the ad that did not advertise Netflix (OF COURSE)!!!!

Here's my experience......

Wandering thru Walmart on BF and come across a $69 blu-ray player (5120 model) in their aisles. I know nothing about it other than I wanted a BR player for Chirstmas so I take a chance and grab it.

That afternoon, while researching the player, I come to read on gottadeal.com that they had advertised a $69 player in their ad and said that it would do Netflix. This model that I got for the same price did NOT do Netflix. I figured at that point it was not really a big deal and to move on. While netflix might be nice down the line, it was not something I really NEEDED today.

That following Sunday I read that some WM's were still selling 5130 AND 5120's still for $69 -- leftover inventory I guess. So, I decided to go to a different WM that per their website still have 5130s in stock. Sure enough, they had the Netflix version 5130 for $69 -- although strangely enough the 5120 version was selling for $118?!??! I ended up returning the 5120 and getting the 5130 for the same price.

As for the operation, I've also had issues with the WIFI. I had it working for awhile and then all of a sudden it stopped. I've read that the wifi adapter it comes with doesn't have a large range so that signal drops / strength can be an issue. While it's a PITA, I can run an ethernet cable to it to do software downloads, if I cant get the wifi to work. I've been happy with the player so far. For $69, it's been a great 1st blu-ray player for the few weeks we've been using it.

I purchased this same Blu-ray player and am also having trouble getting the wireless set up... it cannot seem to find my wireless router... which has plenty of range because I use my laptop in that room all of the time.

Any input on how you are achieving this would be appreciated.

Just wondering if your wireless is "visible". I can't remember the correct setting, but there's a way to set wireless routers so they can't be found with a blind search, that you have to know the name of the wireless to connect to it.

I actually do have the black friday ad from my paper right now in my hand and it has no netflix logo, I guess I just assumed if it was wifi I would be able to access Netflix. I guess that they sent one model to certian areas and one to other areas and advertised based on the market area inventory sent. I am a little miffed but I guess I shoul have educated myself a little more.

The Netflix was advertised on the 5120 @ walmart.com not in the flyer for the $69 BF price. I too heard through various message boards about this error and went back to Walmart the week after BF and found a 5130 that rang up for $69 also. I bought that one and returned the 5120. The electronics guy was surprised that the 5130 was ringing up for that price also. Mine has been working fine...

An FYI about the Black Friday Blu-Ray player:

There were 2 different ones that were sold. One has a model # of 5120 something. That one will ONLY stream Vudu, nothing else. The other is 5130 and will do Vudu, Netflix, Blockbuster, etc...and is fully wireless.

I got the 5120. When I gave it to dh he was researching it before we opened it to be sure it was a decent one. The reviews for the 5120 were not good, but they did tell us about the 5130. At the time both were on the walmart.com site and both for $118. In the reviews we learned that the Walmart ad was apparently for the 5130, but most places were selling the 5120. I took mine to my local Walmart (not the one I bought it at) and got the LAST 5130 there, they just did an even exchange.

My dh is happy with the 5130.

Neither is listed at walmart.com anymore, but you can probably google and get some of the same info that I was able to find in the reviews.

I did not know this thank you for the info. We purchased ours online on black friday and it doesn't have netflix on it. However I still have my ad from black friday and it is the 5120 listed in it. So we got the right one. The ad only lists vudu facebook and picasa. It is not a big deal to us if it will stream the others or not. We have another blu ray player that will stream netflix as well as a wii that can stream it. Currently we don't have netflix anyhow.

Bummer. I also got the 5120 on WM on BF after seeing the 5130 reviews online and thinking I could stream Netflix. I've been so swamped I haven't even hooked it up yet. Anyway to make this work and stream something else besides Vudu?

Most of the "budget" players sold at Walmart will stream Vudu (instead of Netflix) because Walmart actually owns the Vudu service...
