Hi there! I still haven't received the email or the letter in the mail, I've just been checking MDE every day like a weirdo. I haven't seen anything yet on here for Nov testing but it seems between the Aug test and the Sept test they added more resorts into the test group. So maybe by Nov they will have it rolled out to everyone?

Good question! We're staying at PoP Nov 11-18 and were wondering about the bands as well! Hopefully some one can point us in the right direction . Thanks have a magical night

They are only sending the letter out 17 days before arrival. We have a couple of days to go to get that. I could order our MB last Tuesday 9/13 and received them on 9/15 by 9:30am. No one has heard anything yet about testing for the month of Oct. Keep all fingers and toes crossed.

I am at POP 9/13 - 9/20 and did not receive an email or letter but the options for FP+ popped up last week and by Friday night I was able to customize Magic Bands.

Are these resorts just testing in sept or is it sept and beyond? Thanks for the posts

I'm hearing the next test phase is planned through mid-October, but also no one seems to be able to schedule Fastpasses beyond the end of September.

I'm going November 10th-17th at POR but a little nervous about trying these out. Is anyone here planning on "early ticket pickup" would like to know if this option will effect the magic bands.

Can't seem to make myself stop checking MDE though!

Instead of having a key card that does everything (room key, park tix, meal plan) it'll be a wristband that you wear.

WL is not part of the test for the month of September.

If CBR somehow is chosen for October and we are staying there September 25- October 6 would we get MB? (I am especially bitter since I had wanted to stay at POR which is doing testing in September and was out voted!).

I'm excited for the magic bands themselves, I think it is a neat option instead of carrying a card. I am however afraid of Fastpass+, which is obviously coming with the magic bands. I'd love to have the option to get a magic band but still use the old fast pass system. Limiting to 3 fast passes per day, and at one specific park, is a tough sell. Also not a fan of having to plan what i'm doing every day 60 days in advance. I'm going in October and honestly don't know what I'll be doing everyday - we tend to bounce between parks depending on crowd levels, meal plans, etc. The fastpass+ system seems to counteract the benefit of the park hopper.

We're hearing during September and October, a widespread MyMagic+ test will take place that includes guests staying at most Disney Resorts. Resorts we know will be involved in this test include Pop Century, Art of Animation, Port Orleans Riverside, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Contemporary Resort, Polynesian Resort, Beach Club Resort and Villas, and Yacht Club Resort. Guests staying at these resorts (and possibly others) on or after September 3 will be informed via emails or letters of their MyMagic+ options, such as pre-booking their FastPass+ times and customizing their MagicBands via the My Disney Experience site and/or mobile app. International guests and those who failed to receive notification will be able to make their FastPass+ selections and receive their MagicBands upon arrival. While this will still be classified as a "test" it is expected to remain in force from here on out barring any major issues.
