Magicbands have arrived at the Fort!

My family has a trip at the Fort starting on Nov 3rd. We have both a cabin and a campsite and we all got to customize our magicbands and pick FP+.

We arrive at the Fort on 10/23. Our MBs arrived via UPS overnight yesterday morning. They're a little larger/clunkier than I expected once I tried mine on. Overall it should be an interesting experience as I think we'll be some of the 1st to try these out as FW campers.

We arrive at the Fort on 10/21 & received our Magic Bands yesterday too! I'm excited to try them out!

10/21 is the start date for the Bands at FW.. I check in on the 19th,a nd don't have them.


I'm half wondering if I can show up at the front desk on the 21st, and ask for them then.. I don't care that it'd be grey.. it'd be a MB!

You would think they would do that. It's only fair since we are checking in on the 26th and get them. I certainly would ask.

Hope the Magicbands are sinked and transferable. I know only certain resorts were getting them first. My Disney Experience says they are available for our trip, got them customized and ready to go, guess because we are staying at Pop Century first. Will be checking into Pop Century on Oct. 11th and then moving over to the Fort on the 12th...Everything is sinked for our trip...Fast Passes, Reservations and MNSSHP Tickets....Here is hoping Can't wait to get back to the Fort...been 3 years since our last trip.

After seeing your post, I rushed to get onto MDE since we check-in on Nov 3rd also. We only have a campsite, no cabin. We were able to pick our FP+ but nothing about the Magic Band. We are leaving a little early for the Fort so I hope they do not wait too long to let us customize our MBs. Is there an option to pick them up at WDW and not have them mailed? We may get there before our reservation starts and will activate our AP. Any guess if we could pick it up early? Good thing I retired so I can pursue all this important stuff.

A few other DISers have had this problem. So to get the magicbands to show up. Go and click on modify check in. Go thru it don't have to change anything. At the end will probably say it was unable to complete it. Exit out of MDE completely. Then go back in and you should see customize magic bands instead of manage magic bands.

Thank you. I touched my nose with my left index finger, rubbed my belly with my right hand and hopped on one leg while spinning to the left. After that I got to customized our bands. Hey, what ever works.

we check in on October 20th for 11 days. was going to be 10 but added 1. Not seen anything about magicbands in the my disney experience. I have been in there a lot making ADR's and plans. I called the front desk of FW just now to add a loop request ( please call back 5-10 days before.blah. ). I had to stop the CM from hanging up on me after she said that as i wanted to inquire about Magic Bands as i see everyone coming in the day after me here says they are getting them in mail. She said that only selected guests are recieving magic bands. I said then we get no FP+ or anything magical and she said yes, but theres still time you may get slected? What?? Seems odd to me.

So my question would be for those of you that have gotten them, do you already have park tickets linked to your reservation? I am wondering if that is what's triggering the magic bands.

We havent been since Jan 2010 and it was so cold and miserable that year so we are doing lots of different things this trip and would be nice to have MB and FP+.

Various sources are reporting that MBs don't go live at the Fort until 10/21 check-in dates. It looks like you may have just missed the MB window. You could be staying at the Fort after 10/21, but I think any check-in dates before 10/21 will not be part of the test.

We booked a room only at POR for 10/17 the night before we check into FW. We're going to stay offsite, but decided to change our plans with hopes of getting the MB'a. Hoping they will work for our whole trip once we move to FW.

We arrive Nov 1st. I have not linked park tickets yet but did get to customize our Magic Bands immediately after doing the online check-in. We are purchasing park tickets this weekend so then we can add all our fastpass reservations.
