I know there was an announcement a while back about eliminating parking passes and going to scanning MagicBands for free onsite guest parking at parks. Has this been implemented? We have a one-night stay in January that has been paid in full and MagicBands are being mailed to us. If I do online check-in, is there any reason I need to go to the front desk? I am hoping to go straight to the parks, use the MBs for access to the parking lots and stay until late without actually going to the resort.

I know this isn't very current, but when we went last September I didn't see a whole lot of enforcement going on. We would reach for the parking pass, and they would wave us in. At first I was confused, because they hadn't seen the pass yet. We realized it was the magic band that they saw and let us in just by seeing that. But you don't have to be a resort guest to have a magic band...

Yes, they are scanning Magic Bands for parking entry for resort guests. I would expect you should be able to do what you're planning.
