MagicBand testing

Yup. We are at CSR and can make fast pass+ selections today but not bands.

Sounds like a new group of resorts is being added. IMO, this gives weight to the "Full Rollout by 11/1" theory.

I just checked and can make Fastpass+ reservations for BLT and we are there the second week of October. We can't customize MagicBands yet, though.

I appologize that this sounds really dumb, but I just found out that the resort we'll be at 10/19-10/25 is participating. So now what do I do? Last week I participated, but I'd gotten a letter telling me what to do (unfortunately I threw away the letter). I did keep my magic band though-they said guests were supposed to use it on subsequent trips. Also, I have a voucher for a PAP. I read somewhere that AP holders couldn't participate. Is that true? I just don't know what to do now that I've heard our resort is participating.

Not true. We are staying at AKV Jambo House in Oct and have our APs linked to MDE. We have already received our MagicBands and I have made some FP+ selections.

I've seen mixed reports on people successfully linking AP vouchers. You don't need admission linked to MDE in order to customize MagicBands. You do however need to link admission to make FP+ selections.

Have any of you competed the on-line check-in process? If you have, try redoing it without making any changes and see if that enables the 'Personalize MagicBands' option.

Yes redid it after someone suggested in another thread. It worked after that.

Staying at AoA evening of 10/10, move to SSR on 10/11. Was able to do FP+ and got our Magic Bands in the mail yesterday. I was able to link our current APs as well as our vouchers for our new ones that start mid stay when I went on DME. Now let's hope it all works as planned.

I just made a last minute two night stay at Saratoga Springs before my cruise on 9/23. Staying 9/21 and 9/22. We had magic bands from our trip in August to Pop Century. I didn't know Saratoga Springs was participating in fast pass plus but I was able to schedule my selections.

If you can get the MDE site to recognize your voucher you can book. Some have not been able to do that and I was told vouchers would not work at this time.

We bought our AP's online through MDE and got a Will Call number and it linked automatically and we booked our Fastpass+. There is some type of glitch with the numbers from vouchers.

I've had many glitches with MDE (especially the mobile versions), but I didn't have any problem linking the AP vouchers. I had two AP renewal vouchers and one new AP voucher. I just typed in the (I think) 20-digit number under the barcode on the back of the voucher, and MDE recognized it without a problem. (This was from the web browser version of MDE. Again, my success with the iPhone/iPad app has been more limited.)

I was able to make FP+ reservations without any problem. Hopefully I won't have any problems when I go to guest relations to convert the vouchers to real APs!

This is new. Up until today we have not been selected to participate because BWV didn't seem to be a choosen resort. Now logging in it gives me the option to book FP. BUT, because my DH is using a voucher that I linked, only he can get a FP. I've not been able to link my Green PAP to my MDE account, so I don't get that option. I've tried everything to get this done, but it just won't take. i guess i could call today and try to get someone to help. UGH, plus none of my other family members' PAPs are linked either, so no FP for them.

Very excited, got my letter today stating we were eligible for our 3 day stay at BCV Oct 10-13. I was worried about having only an email stating we had PAP's but it took my order number without any problem. Seems like they are working through their issues there.

Selected our fast passes for Soarin, Living with the Land and Test Track without any problem for Saturday the 12th. Very pleased so far. Although, how do we select a card rather than the bands? My hubby isn't happy with having to wear a band. I suggested having it attached to his belt loop, but he wasn't thrilled with that idea either.

During the test phase, you will automatically receive a RFID KTTW card at check-in. Once the testing is over, you will be able to request a RFID Card at the resort once you arrive.

I would still go to the front desk to get your key to the world cards just in case those magic bands don't work when you're trying to get into the parks. I'm still a bit paranoid about the whole thing.

We will be staying at BWV next month, and I haven't heard anything. I guess it is not one of the resorts chosen.

I'm staying at BWV in October and I've just received an email inviting me to participate in the magic band test. I went online and booked my fast passes but at least one every day conflicts with dining or a food and beverage seminar I have booked. Still I'm happy to be able to try this out.

Go ahead and book one of the choices they give you. You can then manually change the time for any with conflicts.

I didn't get a e-mail...just went on MDE one day and it said to customize my Magic Bands. I hadn't linked my son's tickets (and his family) so I called Disney IT and they did it for me.
You can change the times on the FP + if there are alternative times available.
