Magicband AP and onsite question

We are staying onsite for our upcoming trip and we have APs. We actually have two sets of MB, one for our onsite stay and then our passholder MBs. The passholder bands came with a discount card to use for parking and shopping, but I assume those cards can only be used in conjunction with the Passholder MBs? Which would mean we still need to bring our actual AP cards and ID for shopping discounts?

I'm just not sure if the AP being linked to our resort reservation would mean I could use that card with our MBs for this stay or not. Its a little confusing.

It's confusing, no doubt. You will need your photo ID in all scenarios for discount purposes. As for the others, you can bring:

Magic band & discount card
RFID AP card

There is really no need to bring the RFID AP card and magic band together as long as you've got the discount card, nor is there a need to bring the discount card and RFID together. Yeah. Kind of makes you wonder what the point is of the discount card is doesn't it?

ps it doesn't matter which set of magic bands you use. they are interchangeable.
