Magical Oct 4, 2014 Southern Caribbean

Taking the Typhoid meds I picked up yesterday. I should think about packing, but I haven't thus far. Every thing is pretty much planned out, thank goodness, so now it's just getting the 23 hour plane trip behind us. I told the kids to pack food that they like. I am not convinced they will eat the airplane food. The longest flight they have done is 8 hours, so this first flight will be a true test of world traveling.

Not to mention that I leave for Jamaica Monday and I really haven't given any thought to that trip at all. CRAZY TIMES

Good Morning Everyone ! We set sail in 488 Days ! Today is Monday and here is the question.
What do you do to pass the time waiting for the cruise ?

My answer : I made a paper countdown chain. I made one for each month. I work on my FE gifts to keep the excitement going and spend time researching the ports we will visit.

I just read through all 46 pages of this thread! I am seriously contemplating OBB this cruise for DS and me when we are on the Magic this summer. DS will turn 8 on Oct 11 (2014) and should have fall break at his school during this week.

This summer will be DS's first and mine and DH's second cruise (first was RC for a wedding). We are doing the Med cruise to Greece in July! So getting organized for that is taking lots of my time right now. And the boys are going to Colombia next week for 10 days so I have to get DS packed up for that trip as well. We picked the Med because DS wanted to go on a boat, DH said we should do Disney, right? and I didn't like the options for the Eastern or Western or Bahamas. That left Alaska and the Med. Spoiled little guy ...Disney, South American and Med cruise for the summer...plus a week with grandparents which should include a day or two at the beach.

I grew up in FL so have spent a fair amt of time in the parks over the year (first trip was in mid 70s)...DS's first trip was for his 4th birthday and in 2 1/2 years he has now been 6 times! LOL! We got annual passes last Oct so I've made a few excuses to go...DH had to go for work, Star Wars Weekend, etc....going to do ToT run in the fall. We live in ATL so not too bad to get down there either driving or flying.

Welcome Aboard ! I hope you decide to join this cruise. We did a DCL cruise that stopped at Catagena Colombia. It was one of our favorite ports !

Good Morning Everyone! Just stepped off the Wonder sailing through Alaska and had a blast. We're very excited to have booked this cruise!! It will be me DH, DD(6), DS(3 (4 in NOV)) and TBA coming this October. Looking forward to getting to know everyone and participating as much as possible!!

we've been busy!! After Hawaii in April its just been winding down the school year. Also many home projects, lots of painting and we just laid down new floors in the kitchen. New carpets are on their way too!

We go to Disneyland (our home away from home, as we are AP holders) next week for 6 days. We are excited we are bringing my 22 year old sister and plan on doing some adult only nights while the kids are in the kids clubs, and we rented a pool cabana a cpl afternoons too. we are so excited to relax

We have been VERY busy too. I feel like we are missing the boat (no pun intended) on getting to know everyone. Our son was in a pretty bad accident so lots of med appts and a hospital stay for him plus we just sold our house and are trying to find a place to move.

We will be going on a cruise this Oct which is the Magic's first one after dry dock. I hope we get time soon to get excited I am hoping to be able to post some pics of her new updates.

I am so sorry to hear about your son. I can't even imagine going through something like that. Hoping your son has a speedy recovery.

I am going on the Magic in January. Interested in what you think of the improvements.

I am doing a happy dance as I just paid off the January cruise and will now need to work on this one.

It was a great trip, primarily at Aulani. We are going back hopefully in Feb (need to rent points when we get back from Disneyland!).
