Magical Oct 4, 2014 Southern Caribbean

Karen, it's good to see you over here and on the FB group. I'm SO happy that you and Ted are doing this cruise with all of us. I'm sorry that Alex will not be with you for the first time. We'll try to keep you busy so you don't think of her too much and miss her.

I think Karen and Ted, on this cruise, been2marcelene....is also on the January 10th cruise. I will have to tell her to come over here and join in so you can chat.

As you guessed, Deb, we are on the January 11th cruise on the Fantasy!:cool1:

We love Pirate night so we have to dress in some way. When the girls were little I bought pirate outfits after halloween. In Feb, we opted for red and white striped Fashion tops from Hollister, Black pants, high black boots, bandana's, eye patches, etc. They wanna do this again! The girls love it either way. I mean I don't come on Disney to just wear whatever...I am on Disney not Carnival. Just like formal and semi--WE DRESS FORMAL for both. If I want casual...not appropriate attire..I will cruise some other line! :) Just my preference and opinion!

I'm with you, Michelle! We love pirate night and ship our pirate clothes to the ship! pirate:

We dress for formal and semi-formal, my DH, Ted has his own tux!:cheer2:

Looking forward to getting to know you all!:hippie:

Good morning all!! Seeing as Myself and my webpage Editor aren't taking this cruise... I wanted to know if anyone wanted to take over as the organizer. I will leave the webpage there for a bit for u to copy anything u would like. Also I have left the FB group closed(which keeps people from seeing ur comments) but I made it that any of u can invite and approve people to join. Please let me know who would like to take on this responsibility! Thanks again. Sorry we can't keep this up, darn airfare!!

I'm not the right person to take over, since I am away so much. Hopefully someone who will be around will be able to pick up the task of keeping the group organized.

Happy Memorial Day !

We set sail in 495 days ! :woohoo::yay::woohoo: We are also under the the 500 day mark !! :woohoo:

Today is Monday and here is your question........What are you doing today ? Seems fitting since it's Memorial Day.

My answer: I have to work. Most likely get home around 10 tonight then I have to be back at work 7 am tomorrow. I will take a few mins. today to remember the great sacrifices that have given us the freedoms we have today and those that are still protecting them.

I had a crazy day making the last bookings for the big trip this summer, taking Nico to get sandals, then taking the kids to the pool.

Lots of shopping and I HATE shopping. Now I need to focus on getting in shape for the next 4 days.

We're here in Florida, living in a hotel in Orlando until our things get down here. They should arrive this week and we can officially move into our house.

Today, besides being thankful for the reason for the day.....we're hanging out by the pool with a DISer friend, Monica, who lives here. Then we're going to dinner and afterwards we're taking Monica on a tour of our home.

It's really so cool to pass the mouse every time we go from the hotel to the house. We have to get our annual passes soon so we can go and play.

Happy Memorial Day !

The highlight of our holiday weekend was driving the 2012 Corvette Pace Car around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway track about an hour before the race. First, the car had some amazing power,(even though we were going about 200 mph less than the actual race cars) , then seeing all the fans in the stands. Indy is just special. OH, and I picked the winner this year...way to go TK!

We also spent the day working, but "off" the clock. Ted and I are part and parcel of our daughters Grad Night event, and we are in the prep stages!! :wizard:

We have less than two weeks before our "baby" graduates and we put on her Grad Night Event!! :scared1: In addition to rowing down the denial river, :confused3 we have a lot of prep and set-up to do for the event!

We also both work for a software company and had a software release tonight, so we worked yesterday to ensure that it went well... we both worked about 14 hours today, but it all went well, and that's what matters!!

I feel very strongly about Memorial Day, and want to close with a quote...

"I'm proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free,
And I won't forget the men who died who gave that right to me,
And I gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today,
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land God Bless the U.S.A."

Thank you to Lee Greenwood for a great song!!

I am not fond of shopping either. I like to go in and get out. :rotfl2: I really dislike shopping for bathing suits and jeans !

We had the previous Monday off (Victoria Day)!! :)

1 out of two isn't bad. :)

I am tired after reading your post. Sounds like alot of work, but it will be a great time and great memories. :goodvibes Nice quote. :)

Those I shop for at home. Venus for swimsuits and VS or Boston proper for jeans.

My least favorite is shoe shopping, but yes, overall any shopping is awful. Even places like Home Depot and Best Buy, I buy online and pick it up at the store check out. In and out, my feelings exactly.

:banana::banana::banana:

I am so happy for you!!! Best way to move to an area is to meet up with a friend already there. ::yes::

Taking the Typhoid meds I picked up yesterday. I should think about packing, but I haven't thus far. Every thing is pretty much planned out, thank goodness, so now it's just getting the 23 hour plane trip behind us. I told the kids to pack food that they like. I am not convinced they will eat the airplane food. The longest flight they have done is 8 hours, so this first flight will be a true test of world traveling.

Not to mention that I leave for Jamaica Monday and I really haven't given any thought to that trip at all. CRAZY TIMES
