It IS exciting Michelle. This was a dream of ours two years ago. We said when my husband retires this is where we wanted to live. John is contemplating getting a PT job with the mouse too. Not just yet. We have lots to do until we're fully settled. So your dream can come true too, just like ours did. Then I hope we'll be neighbors one day. haha.

I think Karen and Ted, on this cruise, been2marcelene....is also on the January 10th cruise. I will have to tell her to come over here and join in so you can chat.

Wow! I have never seen a cruise meet this busy so far ahead of the cruise! It inspired me to say "hi". I reserved this for my family on opening day, but haven't been thinking too much about it. We're all sailing on the 14-Sep Western Fantasy this year, so I've been focusing on that one. I hope we will stay on this cruise for next October - the ports look amazing! If we do, it'll be myself, my husband, our 7-year old son, and my parents... and anyone else I can talk into coming with us! We would also love to be in the FE. I just want to wait a bit to commit to that.

Welcome Aboard ! We are very excited to visit these ports. Disney went in 2006 and were bummed we couldn't go on that cruise. We have been waiting for DCL to back.

Well we made it to Florida. So now we are officially residents. We're not going to stay at our house until all of our things arrive so we took a hotel suite near the airport. We got a great price, which is good because we'll be here for about a week until our moving truck makes it down here with all of our possessions.

John is still sleeping today. He's exhausted from all the driving he just did. Not me, I slept the whole time in the car so I'm up and ready to go. I think I'll just keep it a chill day and wait until tomorrow when we get keys to our new home and can go investigate. Many pictures to be taken and posted on FB, so look for them.

Glad you made it safely ! Don't try to do everything in a day ! Can't wait to see your pictures.

we just got off Fantasy and rebooked on ship for Oct 4 2014.

Welcome Aboard ! Who else is going with you on this cruise. How did you like the Fantasy ? We liked the Fantasy but thought it was big and much more walking.

Good Morning Everyone ! We set sail in 502 days. Today is Monday, here is the question for the week.

Does your family plan to dress up for pirate night ?


My answer : We have gone all out before but with us flying I think we will just wear t-shirts and keep it simple.

I just asked Nico and he said, no too. It is too much packing. I haven't mentioned the formal nights to him yet. I am sure he will ask to wear a barong (filipino garment) instead of a tie.

We love Pirate night so we have to dress in some way. When the girls were little I bought pirate outfits after halloween. In Feb, we opted for red and white striped Fashion tops from Hollister, Black pants, high black boots, bandana's, eye patches, etc. They wanna do this again! The girls love it either way. I mean I don't come on Disney to just wear whatever...I am on Disney not Carnival. Just like formal and semi--WE DRESS FORMAL for both. If I want casual...not appropriate attire..I will cruise some other line! Just my preference and opinion!

Thanks Bernadette. If we were sailing out of PC, you could all come over for a BBQ before cruising. We'll have to plan a precruise meet and greet over in San Juan.

Michelle, I agree with you. I LOVE getting dressed up on formal night. I choose DCL for many reasons, but that's one of them. It gives me a great excuse to get all done up.

Some of you may know Karen and Ted and Alex from the West Coast. They are planning on booking this cruise too. They are, "BeenToMarcelene". You'll see them on here soon! They are also very good friends with me and John. It's just going to be one big party onboard this ship. Lots of old friends and new.

Welcome Aboard Karen & Ted. I will miss meeting you by a day and a ship. I am going on the Magic on January 10th. A mother and daughter cruise. My Daughter Brooke is also in college and couldn't go on this one so we are taking a short one while she is on winter break.

OK so I got the January dates wrong for Tina and Karen....but I was really, really close. hahaha.

DCL just has too many ships in the water now. It's hard to keep up.
