Magical Oct 4, 2014 Southern Caribbean

That is great to hear! We have done Maui & Oahu, but are spending xmas in Kauai which will be our first time there! :cloud9:

Maui and Oahu are also very nice. But, for me, Christmas in Kauai would be a favorite. I hope you like it too.

Hey everyone! We just got back from ten wonderful adventure filled days in Hawaii, mostly spent at Aulani. We planned for it to be half there and half at a rental house but things didn't go great so we left the rental house and went back to Aulani. We did a villa first then standard room the second time.

Here is a link to my blog. There are lots of pics! There is one entry for each of the ten days.

Enjoy!

My girls LOVE Kanani!!

Agree with all of the above. Our first time there also on the cruise. Nice to get to see a bit of 4 islands. More than met my expectations everywhere we were and yep, Kauai was our favorite. We would love to go back and spend some time there.

Double Ditto.:goodvibes:goodvibes

DH Dennis (aka DrHug) and I. Good to sail with you again also. We are looking forward to seeing St Lucia and Antigua again - our favorite ports so far! - and are excited about the new ones. I think we will fly into San Juan a day early so we can see abit there before we sail. We will be celebrating anniversary number 47 on October 6 so this is perfect timing for us!

Oct 6th is Nico's birthday!! Such a great day :)

We are bringing our kids :-) missing school isn't an issue for us here (my DD will be 9) and my soon is about to start online school so that can be easily managed wherever we are! Would be nice to sail without the kiddos though, we went to Hawaii alone last year and had an amazing time. I think I'd miss them on the cruise though:-)

What online school are they in? Nico was doing Connections Academy for the past few years, but now is asking to do more traditional home school.

Thank you very much! I am trying to find something, but so far, no luck. Maybe I will just have to take him on a little cruise before this one. I kind of talked him into it because the Halloween cruise on the Fantasy Oct 26 appealed to him a little more.

Hopefully we can get the kids chatting and in the meantime, I will keep looking for the dolphins :)

Antigua has swimming with the dolphins. DCL may offer it or you could do it on your own.

Julianna, my 10yo, is really hoping DCL brings back the Hawaiian cruise. If we don't get there through DCL, maybe we will stop there before we head to Australia in 2015.

It was extremely popular. I'm sure they will bring it back again at some point.

I liked going with DCL because we got to see four different islands. Plus it was onboard DCL.

You rock!! :thumbsup2

Thank you so much. I will book it on my own if Disney doesn't offer it. He was invited to play soccer in Jamaica this summer, but the cost is a lot more. Plus, this is a very last minute trip. We come back June 8th and leave June 10th for a planned vacation. So, I am not looking to spend a ton of money. We are headed to watch a few US games and then he is playing with a team of kids his age. The crazy things we do for our children :upsidedow

Both of my girls birthdays are on Oct 2nd. Sounds like there will be lots of celebrations on this cruise:goodvibes

It does sound as though there are going to be a lot of celebrations. Overall, I think this will be an amazing trip. :goodvibes

To answer the last question (I think it was the last question)

I workout and travel. Lately, I seem to travel more than ever, but I those are the two things I do for "fun"

Did they offer helicopter tours over the volcanos? It's the one thing Julie has said she really wants to do in Hawaii. In Alaska, all the kids want to go dog sledding.

I think we want to do the St Lucia tour. So the next group of people that want to do it let me know. There are only 2 of us, so we can fit into any size group.

LOL! Nico will be in 8th grade when we are cruising. Sea turtles and the dolphins are definitely on our list. St Lucia tour and I saw something for wildlife safari. As it gets a little closer, I will see what Disney offers as well, but we like to do things others haven't. So swimming with sea turtles is very different :)

No problem. Sounds like lots of vacation time coming up. I hope this makes Nico happy now.

I can't remember if DCL offered them. Maybe. But my friend, Monica, did it on her own with another friend. She said it was awesome.

I have friends that did the dog sledding in Alaska too. They loved it.

I swam with the turtles in Barbados. It was the most awesome thing that I have ever done. Of course, I'm a turtle lover and collector.

How great for you and Nico to be able to swim with dolphins and turtles on the same cruise.
